  • Patent number: 9771856
Abstract: A centrifugal compressor having a casing that houses an impeller allowing rotation about a rotational axis C, a gas channel, a treatment hollow part provided inside the casing, a first channel open to the gas channel on the downstream side of the blade leading edge of the impeller, a second channel open to the gas channel at the upstream side of the blade leading edge, a guide vane that imparts a swirl component in an opposite rotational direction of the impeller to gas discharged from the second channel, a constricting part that constricts the gas channel, and a rectifying part that rectifies gas in a direction that minimizes the swirl component about the rotational axis C and also increases the component in the direction of the rotational axis C.

  • Publication number: 20150051818
Abstract: An engine system is constituted of a battery, a fuel cell, a turbocharger, an engine, a controller configured to (i) stop the engine automatically upon fulfillment of a predetermined stop condition and starts the engine automatically upon fulfillment of a predetermined restoration condition. In the engine system, the controller is configured to stop the fuel cell from charging the battery or limit a charge amount of the battery to a value equal to or smaller than a discharge amount when the fuel cell is driven during operation of the engine and an SOC is equal to or larger than a first limit value W1. The controller is configured not to limit the charge amount when the internal combustion engine control unit stops the engine and the fuel cell is driven during stop of the engine.

  • Publication number: 20140350824
Abstract: An aspect of the invention provides an internal combustion engine (10) including: a system (84) that automatically stops the internal combustion engine (10) when a predetermined stopping condition is established and automatically restarts the internal combustion engine when a predetermined restarting condition is established thereafter; a turbocharger (24) including a compressor (28) provided in an intake passage (16) and a turbine (26) provided in an exhaust passage (18); and a power generation device (40) including a power generation main body portion (42) to which an air introduction passage (44), which is connected to the intake passage to be capable of introducing air that passes through the compressor, and a gas discharge passage (50), which is connected to the exhaust passage to be capable of supplying gas to the turbine, are connected. The power generation device (40) is configured to operate at least when the internal combustion engine is stopped by the system (84).

  • Patent number: 6447241
Abstract: In a centrifugal compressor, a housing is provided which has an annular treatment cavity in a shroud wall. The shroud wall has a first opening providing communication between an installed zone of an impeller and the treatment cavity, and a second opening providing communication between the treatment cavity and a zone upstream of the first opening so as to circulate air a during a low-flow-rate operation. Louvers are arranged in the second opening in circumferentially equidistantly spaced apart relationship with each other and inclined reversely to a rotative direction of the impeller so that the air a sucked to the treatment cavity is, when discharged through the second opening, subjected to directional flow guide action with a whirling direction reverse to the rotative direction of the impeller.

  • Publication number: 20010028839
Abstract: In a centrifugal compressor, a housing 6 has an annular treatment cavity 8 in a shroud wall 5. The shroud wall 5 has a first opening 9 providing communication between an installed zone of an impeller 1 and the treatment cavity 8, and a second opening providing communication between the treatment cavity 8 and a zone upstream of the first opening so as to circulate air a during a low-flow-rate operation. Louvers 11 are arranged in the second opening 10 in circumferentially equidistantly spaced apart relationship with each other and inclined reversely to a rotative direction of the impeller 1 so that the air a sucked to the treatment cavity 8 is, when discharged through the second opening 10, subjected to directional flow guide action with a whirling direction reverse to the rotative direction of the impeller.
