  • Patent number: 7034198
Abstract: A conventional method of pyrolytically decomposing plastic to make low-molecular compounds is poor in efficiency of use of energy due to high heating temperatures (at least 600° C. and 800° C. at maximum). The invention provides that a functional powder is heated to a predetermined temperature and pieces of plastic to be disposed are caused to be contacted with the heated powder, the functional powder including a powder which does in an aqueous solution state show alkalinity, and a photo-catalyst effect powder.

  • Publication number: 20050253310
Abstract: Titanium oxide catalyst has been given attention recently as oxidizing catalyst showing the catalytic effect at normal temperatures and has been put into practical use. The conventional ones are finely divided powder in nm unit in relation to catalytic efficiency, so that the powder is quite fine and it is very much hard to handle them. Granulating the finely divided powder for easy handling has been proposed but provides merely poor catalytic efficiency. The present invention provides shaped or granulated titanium oxide that is ensured of volume to some extent and keeps catalytic efficiency within the range of possibility.

  • Publication number: 20040073078
Abstract: A method for simply decomposing and disposing organic substances while preventing occurrence of toxic substances, which method is directed, firstly, to a technique wherein photocatalyst powder is applied from the upper side with liquefied organic substances, and the photocatalyst powder is heated to between 50 and 400° C., secondly to a technique wherein photocatalyst powder is contacted with gaseous organic substances while the photocatalyst powder being heated to between 50 and 400° C., thirdly to a technique wherein an organic substance to be decomposed is introduced, in a state of gas, liquid or solid, into a suspension of photocatalyst's finely divided particles and is heated in a range of temperatures between 50 and 100° C., and fourthly to a technique wherein organic substances are decomposed at two or more stages.

  • Patent number: 6479570
Abstract: The invention provides: an aggregate comprising a core made of an elastic material and a surfacing material adhered thereon by use of a resin; a manufacturing process of the novel aggregate comprising such steps as mixing 100 parts by weight of a core made of an elastic material with 0.1 to 20 parts by weight of a resin to cause the resin to stick uniformly on the surface of the core, and thereafter, contacting and mixing the core with 1 or more part by weight of a surfacing material having one-tenth or less average particle diameter of that of the core; and a resin mortar mixing the novel aggregate, a resin and preferably other additives.

  • Patent number: 5209949
Abstract: A structural surface such as a wall or pavement related to a building has a patterned layer of stones, which externally retains the texture of the stones. The surface is given a coating of adhesive. A mask of the desired pattern is placed on the adhesive coating. Stones of one characteristics, e.g. color or size, are applied over the mask and adhere to the adhesive layer where the adhesive remains exposed through openings in the mask pattern. Non-adhering stones of the first characteristic are removed; the mask is removed exposing a pattern on the structural surface of said adhesive coating. Stones of a second characteristic are applied to the surface and adhere to the exposed adhesive coating. Excess, non-adhering stones are removed leaving a patterned stony surface, which is then covered with a thin layer of clear plastic material.

  • Patent number: 5171497
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a panel in which a base sheet having adhesive or all or selected parts of a surface thereof. Small stones are applied to the base sheet and a water absorbing polymer is also applied. A hardening material, such as center, is spread over the stones and the polymer. The polymer absorbs the water of the cement and expands. It is thereafter washed off or allowed to evaporate.

  • Patent number: 4952104
Abstract: A method of finishing the surface of a structure, which comprises fixing a rigid or elastic pattern member on a surface, with the pattern member including a releasable covering material applied thereto, applying a coating material to the surface and the member, removing the covering material, which is peelably attached on the surface of the pattern member, together with an uncured portion of the coating material placed on top of the pattern member, before the coating material is completely dried, and curing the coating material. In this way, the pattern member remains in the coating material as a joint, providing an attractive surface finish disposed within the coating material.

  • Patent number: 4647000
Abstract: A flexible grid or lattice molding form having a release-layer covered adhesive on one major side surface and a peelable layer on the opposite major side surface. The grid or lattice can be adhered to a preformed wall or flow by the adhesive layer and a cement mixture sprayed on troweled thereover. The upper peelable surface then can be stripped off removing any molding material covering the peelable layer.
