    Abstract: A vehicle lamp includes a reflector, a light source mounted on the reflector and including a light bulb positioned near a first focus of the reflector, a lens holder having a rear end side opening portion secured to a front opening portion of the reflector and a front end side opening portion, a convex lens secured to the front end side opening portion of the lens holder and positioned in front of the reflector, and a ring-like lens support surface for supporting a bottom surface of a circumferential edge portion of the convex lens formed in the front end side opening portion of the lens holder and constructed of a metal material capable of being plastically deformed, wherein a circumferential edge of the front end side opening portion of the lens holder surrounding the outer circumferential edge of the convex lens is bent radially inward to hold the circumferential edge portion of the convex lens by the lens holder, and wherein the reflector is substantially ellipsoidal.

    Abstract: A vehicular headlamp which provides a high beam of good visibility. The inventive vehicular headlamp includes first and second headlamp main bodies, and at least a light source and a reflector for reflecting the light of the light source forwardly. The second headlamp main body includes an integrated light projection unit which is composed of a reflector formed in a substantially ellipsoidal shape, a light source disposed at a first focal point of the reflector, a projection lens disposed in front of the light source for projecting and distributing forwardly light reflected from the reflector, and a shade disposed at the focal point of the projection lens for forming the low beam. The second headlamp main body forms the low beam and cooperates with the first headlamp main body in forming the high beam.

    Abstract: A perpendicularly intersecting gear device comprising a first bevel gear, a second bevel gear meshingly engaging perpendicular to the first bevel gear, a housing consisting of mutually mating first and second portions, and a drive shaft extending through and being secured to the first bevel gear. A pair of first bearing portions are provided in the first portion of the housing for supporting the drive shaft on opposite sides of the first gear. A second bearing portion is provided also in the first portion of the housing for supporting rotatably the second bevel gear which is disposed between the second bearing portion and the drive shaft.

The assembly comprises a body structure having an open chamber formed therein, a lens attached to the body structure to cover the open chamber thereby to form in the body structure an enclosed chamber, an electric bulb arranged in the enclosed chamber, and first and second pipe members each having on end projected into the enclosed chamber and the other end exposed to the atmosphere. The other end of the second pipe member is so constructed and arranged that when a certain air flow passes through the other end, a negative pressure is produced around the same.

    Abstract: A mounting device for mounting a replaceable lamp assembly having a flanged plug portion on a reflector enclosure. A generally tubular mounting tube is integrally projecting rearwards of the enclosure for receiving the lamp assembly and has a plurality of radially outwardly extending and circumferentially spaced projections on the rear end. An annular retaining ring having a radially inwardly extending retaining rim for abutting with the rear surface of a flange of the flanged plug portion of the lamp assembly, and a plurality of circumferentially spaced and radially inwardly projecting engaging rims to engage with the front surface of the projections on the mounting tube when the retaining ring is fitted on the mounting tube from the rear end and is rotated relative to the mounting tube.
