  • Patent number: 9209557
Abstract: A socket terminal includes a front connection portion that comes into contact with a plug terminal, in which a recess having an inner wall is formed in a contact surface that comes into contact with the front connection portion. The front connection portion is locked on the inner wall by coming into contact with the inner wall when moving in a direction in which the plug terminal is pulled out from the socket terminal. The front connection portion also includes a contact edge that wipes impurities off the contact surface. An electrical connection between the socket terminal and the plug terminal can be maintained by locking the socket terminal on the inner wall even with an application of vibrations in directions in which the plug terminal is inserted and pulled out. Since the contact edge can remove the impurities, the electrical connection between the terminals can be stabilized.

  • Publication number: 20140187098
Abstract: A connector is configured such that elastic deformation of a movable section of each of terminals in the width direction is regulated by a recess within a specific range, thereby preventing the movable section from elastically deforming in the width direction to an excessive extent, even if the movable section of the terminal is subject to the effect of vibration, for example, due to being used in an engine room of a vehicle, and avoiding a short circuit between adjacent terminals or breakage of the terminal in an effective manner.

  • Patent number: 7354300
Abstract: A connector which is capable of reliably shielding a connection subject article inserted in a housing from electro-magnetic waves and which can be easily produced in two types, one for inserting a connection subject article in one vertical direction and the other for inserting it in another direction. Since a ground shell (30) is formed to cover the upper and lower surfaces and opposite side surfaces of a housing (10), a cable (1) in the housing (10) can be electrically shielded in any of the directions of the upper surface, lower surface and opposite side surfaces of the housing (10), thus greatly improving the electromagnetic interference prevention effect. In this case, since the upper surface and lower surface of the shell (30) are disposed on the upper surface and lower surface of the housing (10), respectively, a ground contact (31) can be placed on the upper surface rather than on the lower surface of the shell (30).

  • Publication number: 20070066142
Abstract: Provided is a connector which can positively shield an object to be connected, which has been inserted into a housing, from electromagnetic waves and can be easily manufactured as both a type in which the object to be connected can be inserted in one vertical direction and a type in which the object to be connected can be inserted in the other vertical direction. Because a grounding shell 30 is formed so as to cover a top surface, a bottom surface and two side surfaces of a housing 10, it is possible to electrically shield a cable 1 within the housing 10 in any direction of the top surface, bottom surface and two side surfaces of the housing 10 and it is possible to significantly improve the effect of preventing electromagnetic interference. In this case, the top surface side and bottom surface side of the shell 30 are disposed respectively on the top surface side and bottom surface side of the housing 10.

  • Publication number: 20070026725
Abstract: An electrical connector having a first housing and a second housing is provided. The first housing has contact portions formed as separate bodies. One end of a contact portion is in contact with an anisotropic conductive film, the other end is in contact with a terminal in the second housing, and thus electrical connection is established. Also provided is a second connector, where the second housing is fixed to a circuit board and has contacts, and each contact is installed in an inverted relationship with adjacent contacts.

  • Patent number: 6050851
Abstract: An electric connector is provided which can enhance a mounting density on a printed circuit board, and improve tail protection during transportation. An electric connector (1) of the present device includes a housing (2) which is molded out of an electric insulating material and has a lower face facing a printed circuit board B when being mounted on the printed circuit board and an upper face situated opposite to the lower face, a plurality of terminals (4) as an electric contact, which are retained at predetermined intervals along the longitudinal direction of the housing (2) and each have a tail portion 6 projecting from the lower face of the housing (2) and soldered to the printed circuit board B, and a retaining member (12) which is fitted on both sides in the longitudinal direction of the housing (2) and holds down the housing (2) on the printed circuit board B from its top by being soldered to the printed circuit board B.
