  • Patent number: 6929605
Abstract: A light-source device for an endoscope includes a housing, first and second lamps, and first and second movable lamp mounting sections. The first movable lamp-mounting section is transferable with respect to the housing between first and second lamp positions. The second movable lamp-mounting section is attached to the first movable lamp-mounting section and is transferable between a lighting position and a lamp replacing position. The first lamp is optically connected to a light guide cable when the second movable lamp-mounting section is positioned at the lighting position and when the first movable lamp-mounting section is positioned at the first lamp position. The second lamp is optically connected to the light guide cable when the second movable lamp-mounting section is positioned at the lighting position and when the first movable lamp-mounting section is positioned at the second lamp position.

  • Patent number: 6717092
Abstract: A treatment instrument includes a first coil and a second coil that is different from said first coil. The first and second coils are connected to each other. An operation wire is inserted in the first and second coils, and a tip end of the wire is connected to a treatment device. Upon movement of the wire, the treatment device operates. A method of manufacturing such a treatment instrument includes inserting one end of the first coil and one end of the second coil in a connection pipe from opposite ends thereof, exposing both ends of the connection pipe and corresponding portions of the first and second coils. The portions exposed to the arc columns are melted and connected.

  • Patent number: 6692433
Abstract: A light source device comprises a pair of aperture blades, which opens and closes an optical path through which illumination light radiated from a light source passes so that the amount of the illumination light entering a light guide fiber bundle of the endoscope is adjusted. A guide slot is formed in each of the aperture blades, and an engaging pin is engaged with each of the guide slots. A tension coil spring connects the aperture blades to urge the aperture blades always in a direction in which the aperture blades opens or closes, so that the engaging pin is always engaged with an edge of the guide slot.

  • Patent number: 6629925
Abstract: A light source device comprises an aperture mechanism having a pair of aperture blades in an optical path formed between a light source and an incident end surface of a light guide on which an illuminating light is made incident. The first and second aperture blades are rotated, in a plane perpendicular to the optical axis of the optical path, about a movable shaft, which is parallel to the optical axis. The first and second aperture blades shade the luminous flux of the illuminating light, to adjust the amount of illuminating light, from the outer peripheries of the section of the luminous flux. A protruding plate is formed on an inside periphery of the first aperture blade. When the first aperture blade closes a half of the section, the protruding plate shades a swinging region above the center of the section of the luminous flux.

  • Publication number: 20030187329
Abstract: A light-source device for an endoscope is provided and comprises a housing, a lamp, and a movable lamp-mounting section. A lamp replacement opening is formed on a sidewall of the housing. The lamp is mounted inside the housing and mounted on the movable lamp-mounting section. The movable lamp-mounting section is transferable with respect to the housing between a lighting position and a lamp replacing position. The lamp can be optically connected to a light guide cable when the movable lamp-mounting section is positioned at the lighting position, so that the light guide cable transmits illumination light to the endoscope. The lamp is positioned outside the housing when the movable lamp-mounting section is pulled out to the lamp replacing position through the lamp replacement opening.

  • Patent number: 6425292
Abstract: A discharge pressure measuring device is provided with a discharge pressure measuring system that measures a discharge pressure of the air discharged from a discharging end of an air supplying tube provided to an endoscope. The air discharged by the discharging end is directed to a pressure sensing portion of the discharging pressure measuring system through a pipe. A circuitry for obtaining a voltage representing a true discharge pressure based on a voltage output by the discharge pressure measuring member is provided. A positional relationship of the air discharge portion of the pipe with respect to the pressure sensing portion is changeable.
