    Abstract: A coil winding apparatus is disclosed which is capable of readily adjusting the traversing of an oscillating arm and wire delivery means to carry out the coil winding with good precision. The coil winding apparatus includes a traverse mechanism for traversing the oscillating arm and wire delivery means in the direction of axis of a coil wound article at a predetermined cycle. Also, the apparatus also includes a detector for electrically detecting motion of a main shaft to actuate the traverse mechanism according to the detected motion of the main shaft.
