    Abstract: A detection device comprises a basal layer fixed at the bottom of a container therein, and a cholinesterase-containing reaction layer is fixed on the basal layer. A sample is added to the detection device, and the presence of a cholinesterase-inhibiting substance in the sample is visually determined through coloring reaction. For detecting an organophosphate agrichemical, the sample is brought into contact with an oxidizing agent on a column to convert it into the oxon form thereof.
