  • Publication number: 20090073355
Abstract: A color filter ink is adapted to be used to manufacture a color filter by an inkjet method. The color filter ink includes a colorant, a resin material, and a liquid medium that dissolves and/or disperses the colorant. The resin material includes a first polymer and a second polymer. The first polymer includes at least a first epoxy-containing vinyl monomer as a monomer component, and the second polymer includes at least an alkoxysilyl-containing vinyl monomer represented by a prescribed chemical formula.

  • Publication number: 20090015765
Abstract: An ink for use in manufacturing a color filter by an ink-jet together with other inks, the ink having a predetermined color which is different from colors of the other inks. The ink comprises a coloring agent which has a color corresponding to the predetermined color of the ink, and a liquid medium in which the coloring agent is dissolved and/or dispersed, the liquid medium comprised of a component A and a component B, wherein a boiling point of the component B is higher than a boiling point of the component A, and a viscosity of the component B at a temperature of 25° C. is higher than a viscosity of the component A at a temperature of 25° C. The ink can be used for manufacturing the color filter which has no uneven color or no uneven density. Further, the ink can also be used for manufacturing the color filter which has excellent uniformity of characteristics among the manufactured color filters.

  • Publication number: 20070023911
Abstract: A method for manufacturing an electronic device in which a bonding pad composed of a foundation layer and a surface layer is formed on an Si layer or an Si-base insulation layer, comprises: forming, on the Si layer or Si-base insulation layer and by a droplet discharging method, the foundation layer using liquid material including one or more material(s) selected from Ni, Cr, and Mn or a compound thereof; and forming, on the foundation layer and by the droplet discharging method, the surface layer.

  • Publication number: 20060238553
Abstract: A drive signal is applied to a pressure-generating element to create pressure that corresponds to the drive signal inside a cavity, and liquid stored in the cavity is ejected as droplets. To enable stable droplet ejection even when a highly viscoelastic material is used, the drive signal contains a first waveform part c for adding a second voltage Vch to a reference potential Vc that is larger than a specific potential by a first voltage Vbc to create negative pressure in the cavity, a second waveform part h for holding the negative pressure in the cavity for a specific amount of time with a hold potential Vh that is larger than the reference potential Vc by the second voltage Vch, and a third waveform part d for reducing the voltage from the hold potential Vh to the specific potential Vb by a third voltage Vbh to increase the pressure in the cavity; and the first voltage Vbc is 10% or less, preferably 4% or less, than the third voltage Vbh.

  • Publication number: 20040247790
Abstract: To provide a pattern formation method capable of forming a pattern by cleaning a liquid droplet ejection head without exerting an effect on a liquid droplet ejection operation, when the liquid droplet ejection head stored with a storage solution is used again, a pattern formation method of forming a film pattern by disposing liquid droplets of a functional solution on a substrate, includes: filling a passage including a liquid droplet ejection head to dispose the liquid droplets and a conduit to feed the functional solution to the liquid droplet ejection head with purified water; filling the passage with a solvent dissolving both a solvent contained in the functional solution and the purified water; filling the passage with the solvent contained in the functional solution; forming banks corresponding to the film pattern on the substrate; and disposing the liquid droplets into grooves between the banks with the liquid droplet ejection head.
