  • Patent number: 9227811
Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes an output unit that transports and outputs a recording medium on which an image has been formed, a member having an opening through which the recording medium is output, and a shield member disposed at the opening, the shield member shielding the output unit. The shield member includes plural swing members and a shield plate. The swing members are swingably supported and arranged in an axial direction of the output unit. The shield plate is attached to a wall that restrains the recording medium that is output from returning toward the output unit.

  • Patent number: 8985575
Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes an image forming unit that forms an image on a recording medium, an output unit that outputs the recording medium on which the image has been formed while providing the recording medium with a wave-like shape in a direction that is substantially perpendicular to a transport direction of the recording medium, and a member having an opening through which the recording medium is output. The opening has a shape corresponding to the wave-like shape of the recording medium provided by the output unit.

  • Publication number: 20100215418
Abstract: An aspect of the invention is a recording medium transport device including: a rotating body pair including a pair of rotating bodies disposed on a transport path of a recording medium; a pressing mechanism pressing the rotating bodies in a direction to approach each other; elastically deformable first-large-diameter-portions provided at both axial direction outer-sides of a region where the recording medium passes of at least one of the rotating bodies, the first-large-portions having a larger diameter than the outer diameter at the region; and second-large-diameter-portions provided at both axial direction outer-sides of the region of at least one of the rotating bodies, the second-large-diameter-portions having a larger diameter than the outer diameter at the region and having a smaller diameter than the first-large-diameter-portions, and the second-large-diameter-portions forming a gap between peripheral faces of the rotating bodies at the region in a state where the first-large-diameter-portions are elas

  • Patent number: 7158734
Abstract: A second opening and closing door has a main body of the second opening and closing door, a sound absorbing member and a sound absorbing member cover. The sound absorbing member covers almost the entire surface of the main body of the second opening and closing door facing a guide member. The sound absorbing member cover is dyed black and made of an antistatic-treated cloth material which has air permeability, and is designed to cover almost the entire surface of the sound absorbing member facing the guide member. Further, the sound absorbing member cover is dyed with a dye which does not contain carbon, so that carbon-containing fibrous materials can be prevented from floating in an image forming apparatus while the light-shielding effect can be maintained.
