A detection sensitivity of the beam shielding detection section 66 is configured to be switched from a normal sensitivity mode to a high sensitivity mode when bending is initial processing based on a predetermined processing program, and an acquired height position of the beam receiver 52 is lower than a predetermined second height position LP2.

Abstract: An information management method collects log information of one or more home electrical apparatuses corresponding to service providers. Display screen data is generated which indicates a status of the log information. The display screen data includes groups of information which each contain information on an apparatus, a service provider corresponding to the apparatus, and log information output from the apparatus. Provision of the log information of each group is individually selectable. The display screen data is provided via a network to a display terminal that performs access to a server device. Information is received from the display terminal, which indicates that selection on whether or not provision of the log information is performed. Provision of the log information is not performed on the selected group when a determination is made that refusal of provision of the log information on the selected group is performed.

Abstract: A control apparatus for a vehicle that is provided with an electric parking device for causing a parking pawl to be meshed with a parking gear so as to lock rotation of a wheel of the vehicle. When a parking range is selected, a parking control is executed for moving the parking pawl to a parking position in which the parking pawl is meshed with the parking gear. When the parking control is to be executed, it is determined whether or not the electric parking device is in a ratcheting state in which the parking pawl is repelled by the parking gear without the parking pawl being meshed with the parking gear. When it is determined that the electric parking device is in the ratcheting state, the parking control is stopped to move the parking pawl to a non-parking position.

Abstract: A contents presenting system includes: an analyzing unit which collects and analyzes user's conversation to output an analysis result; a contents acquiring unit which acquires contents from a contents database based on the analysis result; and a contents presenting unit which presents the acquired contents to the user. Since the analysis result of user's conversation includes a factor representing the environment where the user is talking, by determining contents based on the analysis result, it is possible to provide the contents which is suited for the environment where the user is present.

Abstract: The object of this invention is to provide a facsimile communication supplementary service device that allows facsimile communication users to receive accurate service information from telephone switching facilities without performing any operations whatsoever. When a call is received, the facsimile signal analysis and decision part determines whether said call is a facsimile signal, and if it is, monitors the communication until it is completed. When the communication is completed, the charging system calculates the communication charge and the facsimile response part prepares the facsimile information. Then, if the originating party requested for the automatic immediate charge notification service, then the system calls back the originating terminal and sends said facsimile information. As a result, the originating terminal, if it is a facsimile terminal, can receive information on communication charge as a facsimile message. Consulting information may also be added to said charge information.

Abstract: An automatic facsimile signal analyzing system includes a switch unit, a service trunk, a signal identification trunk, a facsimile communication determination unit, and a control unit. The signal identification trunk restores a facsimile control signal from a modulated and encoded facsimile signal on the set speech path and performs collection of communication state information and detection of a start of facsimile communication on the basis of the restored facsimile control signal. The facsimile communication determination unit permits an operation of the signal identification trunk when the classification result from the service trunk represents a type other than the voice signal and analyzes the communication state information from the signal identification trunk.

Abstract: A method and system for screening international phone calls to reduce the number of phone calls which are made simply for the purpose of talking with international operators (prank phone calls) and to reduce the workload of the operators. When an international incoming phone call is placed from a calling terminal abroad, a database is used to determine, based on the calling country code of the incoming phone call, whether the call is from a prank phone call country. If the call is from a prank phone call country, an announcement for determining the intention of the caller is sent to the caller. If the caller provides a response to the announcement, a determination is made as to whether the response is valid. If the response is determined to be valid, the call is connected to the operator. If the response is invalid, the call is determined to be a prank call and is thus disconnected.
