When the male mold is pressed against the contact area of the sheet-like surface member, the temperature of the contact area of the sheet-like surface member gradually falls due to a thermal gradient between the male mold and the contact area of the sheet-like surface member. Simultaneously, the contact area of the sheet-like surface member is not heated directly. In addition, the direction of jet flow of a hot fluid is changed, by fluid guide surfaces, from the center of the sheet-like surface member to the outer periphery, of the sheet-like surface member.

    Abstract: An injection molded article with which a sheet material is integrated is manufactured without causing damage to the sheet material. A molten resin injected into a mold cavity, passes smoothly a peripheral edge of the mold cavity, and flows into a groove portion without accumulating in the vicinity of the peripheral edge. When cooling the molten resin, the temperature of the molten resin in the groove decreases more quickly than the temperature of the molten resin in the mold cavity, because the volume of the groove portion is small. The viscosity of the molten resin is increased rapidly, preventing further molten resin from flowing into the groove portion. The sheet material in the vicinity of the peripheral edge is covered and protected against exposure to heat and/or pressure of the molten resin.

In the secondary injection step, a molten resin is injected into cavities formed within a mold device in a closed mold state from a plurality of gates provided in portions of the mold device corresponding to projections of the blades. It is thus possible to improve the strength of link shafts and the projections while preventing any malfunction of the blades pivoting and any deterioration of the surface appearance, as well as to increase the degrees of freedom in changing the gate diameter.

    Abstract: An air conditioner outlet vent device in which one of a blade and a housing is molded as a primary molding having a shaft hole by primary injection using a first synthetic resin, the other is molded, within a secondary mold die where the primary molding has been set, as a secondary molding having a support shaft by secondary injection using a second synthetic resin so that the shaft hole and the support shaft are fitted together at the same time as they are molded, thereby enabling the blade to pivot within the housing. The first and second synthetic resins are of the same synthetic resin system, and an additive for suppressing shrinkage in cooling and solidifying it after injection molding is added to the first synthetic resin so that the percentage mold shrinkage of the shaft hole becomes smaller than that of the support shaft.

The two-layer separating portion separates the image of the original document into a character information plane and a picture information plane in accordance with separating information. The resolution converting portion has a plurality of resolution converting methods. In accordance with transmission attribute information supplied from outside, a transmission-attribute-information recognizing portion selects a resolution converting method independently for each plane. The resolution converting portion uses the selected resolution converting method to subject each plane to the resolution converting process.
