  • Patent number: 8588197
Abstract: A wireless resource allocation control system for allocating and releasing wireless resource used for communication between vehicles in a predetermined area is provided. The control system includes a unit mounted on a vehicle, and the unit includes a transmitter for transmitting first information associated with the vehicle. A station receives information from the unit and sends information to the unit. The station calculates a priority level for each of the units on the basis of the first information transmitted from each of the units, ranks the units in the order of the priority level, allocates wireless resources to the units in descending of the priority levels, and releases the wireless resource previously allocated to the unit in the case of the unit unworthy of current allocation of the wireless resource.

  • Patent number: 8005052
Abstract: A radio resource allocation system in which equipment placed on a road allocates a radio resource to in-vehicle equipment that exists in a given area is provided. The radio resource allocation system includes the in-vehicle equipment mounted on a vehicle that communicates with another in-vehicle equipment by using the radio resource. The in-vehicle equipment includes a signal transmitting unit that transmits a signal showing that the own vehicle exists in the given area. The roadside equipment includes a radio resource allocation unit that allocates the radio resource to the in-vehicle equipment when the roadside equipment receives the signal transmitted by the signal transmitting unit, and a radio resource release unit that releases the radio resource when the roadside equipment does not receive the signal from the in-vehicle equipment that is allocated the radio resource by the radio resource allocation unit.

  • Patent number: 6024066
Abstract: All the components constituting an air-intake module for an internal combustion engine, including an air cleaner for cleaning air and manifold pipes for distributing air into each cylinder of the engine, are integrated in a single unit. A mounting flange connected to engine side ends of the manifold pipes is fixed to the engine for mounting the air-intake module as a whole. The air cleaner and other components of the module are located under the mounting flange and the manifold pipes, so that the mounting of the module is not obstructed by components constituting the module. An air cleaner element for filtering the intake air is slidably inserted into the air cleaner at a position where the element can be easily serviced from the outside of the module without dismounting any components of the module.
