Abstract: A communication method is used in a relay device that is provided between a terminal and a server. The communication method includes: verifying a reliability of a server certificate that is transmitted from the server for cryptographic communication between the server and the relay device using a processor; issuing a proxy certificate based on the reliability of the server certificate for cryptographic communication between the relay device and the terminal using the processor; and transmitting the proxy certificate to the terminal.

Abstract: A remote maintenance apparatus is provided. The remote maintenance apparatus includes: a first obtaining part which obtains configuration information of terminals sent from the terminals; a storing part which stores the configuration information while bringing the configuration information into correspondence with generation information; a second obtaining part which obtains configuration information of a failed terminal; and an extraction part which extracts difference information between configuration information obtained by the second obtaining part and configuration information stored in the storing part which has older generation.

Abstract: A evaluation method evaluates the effectiveness of the content of a Web site connected with a client via a network. The method has a step of accessing the Web site and displaying a content of the Web site, a step of measuring the status of viewing one content by the client and sending the result to the Web site, and a step of calculating the utilization rate of the one content from the measurement result. Since the actual status of viewing one Web content by a client is measured and the utilization rate is calculated, the effectiveness of the Web content can be accurately evaluated. Also the retrieval result can be provided and accounting can be performed according to the effectiveness.

Abstract: A support service charge calculating device comprises an accumulating means for accumulating in a storage means information on the use of the support service by customers during the support service providing period concerning an information processor provided to the customers on the condition that the customers pay a fixed charge, a calculating means for calculating the cost on the use during the providing period by using information on the use, and a determining means for determining the amount to be returned to the customers from the fixed charge when the relationship between the fixed charge and the use charge satisfies a predetermined condition.

The apparatus includes an information acquisition section that acquires product information concerning a product to be registered, an authorized registration propriety decision section that decides the propriety of authorized registration of the product on the basis of the product information acquired by the information acquisition section, a condition information storage section that stores temporary registration condition information specifying conditions for temporary registration of the product, and a temporary registration section that temporarily registers the product if it is decided to be improper for authorized registration by the authorized registration propriety decision section and the product information concerning the product conforms to the temporary registration conditions.
