  • Patent number: 11972270
Abstract: A communication device may include: a memory configured to store management information in which, for each of a plurality of OIDs of a MIB, the OID and a setting value are associated with each other; and a controller, wherein the controller may be configured to: receive a setting command which conforms to TCP; write the setting value included in the setting command to the management information in association with the OID included in the setting command; and send a response command which conforms to the TCP. In a case where the setting command including a first OID and a first setting value is received, the controller may be configured to: write the first setting value to the management information in association with the first OID after the response command has been sent, and send the response command before the first setting value is written to the management information.

  • Patent number: 7622415
Abstract: Provided are a polymerization catalyst composition for ethylene oxide which can give polyethylene oxide having a molecular weight lower than that of the prior art and a relatively narrow molecular weight distribution, and a process for the production of polyethylene oxide by the use of the catalyst composition. The catalyst composition makes it possible to produce polyethylene oxide having a molecular weight ranging from about 20,000 to 200,000 through direct polymerization in a high yield with economic advantage, and is characterized by comprising an organoaluminum compound and at least one member selected from among alkali metal alkoxides and alkali metal hydroxides. According to the process, polyethylene oxide having a molecular weight failing within the above range can be produced by the use of the catalyst composition under the same polymerication conditions as those of the prior art.

  • Patent number: 4718681
Abstract: A sample chucking apparatus including a clip provided at a plurality of positions correspondingly to a sample and operating closedly to release and hold the sample, with the clip being acutated by a magnetic force. A spring force counters the direction in which the clip operates, thereby simplifying the structure and ensuring a reliability on fixing or carrying of the sample.

  • Patent number: 4639146
Abstract: A thrust bearing has a plurality of bearing pads each provided on its back side with a pivot, and a support on which the pads are disposed in the circumferential direction. An integral carrier is mounted on the support. The carrier has leg portions and a resilient portion and definies a squeeze film damper portion between the rear surface thereof and the opposing surface of the support. The pads are carried tiltably by the carrier through the pivots.

  • Patent number: 4602873
Abstract: A vibration-controlling bearing for controlling vibration developing in a rotary shaft supported in a housing of a rotary machine including a bearing member of a cylindrical shape interposed between an outer peripheral surface of the rotary shaft and an inner peripheral surface of the housing and spaced apart therefrom by respective gaps. A dynamic pressure is generated between an inner peripheral surface of the bearing member and the outer peripheral surface of the rotary shaft. Communicating ducts are formed in the bearing member for transmitting a portion of the dynamic pressure generated to a gap between the outer peripheral surface of the bearing member and the inner peripheral surface of the housing.

  • Patent number: 4579508
Abstract: A turbomolecular pump including a casing stationary blades arranged in a plurality of stages in the casing axially thereof, rotating blades arranged between the stationary blades and located on an outer periphery of a rotor located in a central portion of the casing, and a bearing device journaling the rotor at its high vacuum and end a low vacuum end. A first permanent magnet of the fixed side having a high Curie point and a second permanent magnet of the rotor side located in juxtaposed relation to the first permanent magnet constitute a magnetic bearing of an attraction type for journaling the rotor at its high vacuum end. A pivot type hydrodynamic bearing or active magnetic bearings journal the rotor at its low vacuum end.

  • Patent number: 4294494
Abstract: The invention is concerned with a sliding-type bearing suitable for use in high-speed rotary machines. The sliding-type bearing has a bearing surface provided with a lubricating oil groove at each of two portions thereof substantially 90.degree. spaced from the point to which the load exerted by the bearing is applied. A chamfer is formed in the portion of the bearing surface near one of the two lubricating oil grooves remoter from the point of the minimum bearing clearance which is determined by the direction of rotation of the shaft and the direction of application of the load by the rotary shaft. This chamfer permits the discharge of the heated lubricating oil to the outside of the bearing thereby to prevent the same from flowing into the point of the minimum bearing clearance.
