  • Patent number: 12162543
Abstract: A first circuit energizes a steering assist actuator to electrically assist steering of a driver. A second circuit is provided in a same housing as the first circuit and energizes a positional actuator to move a steering position. A controller operates the first and second circuits to control operations of the steering assist actuator and the positional actuator. The controller changes a priority between the first circuit and the second circuit in a start period, in which the steering control device is started, a normal operation period, in which the steering control device is operated normally, and a stop period, in which the steering control device is stopped. The priority includes at least one of an order of operating the first circuit and the second circuit, output allocation between the first circuit and the second circuit, and output magnitude between the first circuit and the second circuit.

  • Publication number: 20240283374
Abstract: A power converter is connected between a power supply line and a ground line, and the power supply line is connected to a battery. The power converter supplies converted power to a load by converting direct current power of the battery. A control circuit controls the power converter by a voltage applied from the battery. A reverse-connection protective relay is connected to the ground line, and interrupts a current flowing from the ground line to the power supply line via the power converter in a case where the battery is connected in a reverse direction. A voltage required for turning on the reverse-connection protective relay is applied to a gate of the reverse-connection protective relay in a case where the battery is connected in a forward direction, and is not applied to the gate of the reverse-connection protective relay in a case where the battery is connected in the reverse direction.

  • Publication number: 20240283384
Abstract: A motor driver includes an inverter, a multiphase pre-driver circuit, a controller and motor relays. The inverter includes pairs of an upper-arm switching element and a lower-arm switching element being connected in series between a ground line and a power supply line, and supplies power to a multiphase motor by converting direct current power of a battery. The multiphase pre-driver circuit drives the upper-arm and lower-arm switching elements. The controller commands the multiphase pre-driver circuit to drive the switching elements, and controls electrical conduction from the inverter to the multiphase motor. The motor relays interrupt a current flowing from the multiphase motor to the inverter during an off state. The multiphase pre-driver circuit includes a charge pump. The motor relays are turned on by an output voltage of the charge pump during an operation of the charge pump in a situation apart from that the controller provides an instruction.

  • Publication number: 20240266821
Abstract: A control unit includes multiple controllers, an intersystem communication circuit, an internal power supply circuit and a protection circuit. The controllers control a load, and are connected to individual circuit arrangements. The individual circuit arrangements are defined as systems. The intersystem communication circuit is connected between one of the systems and remainder of the systems. The internal power supply circuit is included in each system. The internal power supply circuit supplies electric power to corresponding one of the controllers and the intersystem communication circuit. The protection circuit cuts off an internal power supply line between the internal power supply circuit and the intersystem communication circuit or limits supply of the electric power to the intersystem communication circuit, in response to the occurrence of an overvoltage abnormality in which an output voltage of the internal power supply circuit is in an overvoltage state.

Abstract: A power converter of a load drive device is provided between a power supply line and a ground line connected to the battery, and converts a direct-current power of the battery and supplies it to a load. A booster circuit boosts a voltage of the battery supplied via the power supply line. A post-boost capacitor is charged with a boosted voltage by the booster circuit. A specific regulator operates a target circuit when a voltage equal to or higher than a lower limit value is applied via a power supply path. At least the voltage charged in the post-boost capacitor is applied to the specific regulator.

  • Publication number: 20240106264
Abstract: A plurality of systems of power supply circuits are provided between a power source and a load and are capable of cooperatively supplying power to the load using power of the power sources. In the power supply circuits, ground lines connected to a negative pole of the power source are configured independently for each system. A plurality of ground current detectors detect ground currents that are currents flowing through the ground lines of each system. The control units have ground line diagnosis portions that diagnose an abnormality in the ground lines based on the ground currents. When the ground line diagnosis portions determine that at least one system ground line is abnormal, the control units change the operation of the power supply circuit of the system determined to be abnormal.

  • Patent number: 11626780
Abstract: An electronic control device includes a plurality of control circuit units, a signal line, and a sneak-in suppression circuit. The plurality of control circuit units are connected to separate grounds, respectively. The signal line connects a first control circuit unit and a second control circuit unit. When a system is defined as a combination of a component and a ground corresponding to a control circuit unit, the sneak-in suppression circuit suppresses a sneak-in of electric power from the ground of one system (i.e., a subject system) to the other system connected by the signal line for preventing a cascading failure.

  • Patent number: 10501121
Abstract: A rotation angle detector includes a voltage detector receiving a supply of voltage from a first power source and detecting a motor rotation regarding a motor, the motor rotation more specifically detected as (i) a rotation angle of the motor and (ii) a number of rotations of the motor. Also, a second power source is disposed separately from the first power source and supplying voltage to the voltage detector. Thus, even when the voltage of the in-vehicle battery lowers or the voltage supply therefrom is interrupted, the voltage supply to a voltage detector is continuous from the power storage device, thereby enabling a continuous detection of the rotation angle and the rotation number of the motor.
