  • Publication number: 20180205244
Abstract: A hand-held electric power tool includes a main power SW provided in a motor housing, a trigger SW provided in a grip portion that protrudes from the motor housing, and a controller. The controller switches an operation mode to one of a drive enabled mode in which driving of the motor is enabled and a drive disabled mode in which driving of the motor is disabled, in accordance with a switching command from the main power SW. In the drive enabled mode, driving of the motor is controlled in accordance with a driving command input from the trigger SW. The controller switches the operation mode to the drive disabled mode in response to the driving of the motor being stopped due to stopping input of the drive command from the trigger SW.

  • Publication number: 20170259359
Abstract: Disclosed is a chainsaw capable of making it less likely that vibrations due to driving of an electric motor and a endless movement of a saw chain are transmitted to a worker, thereby enabling the worker to become less likely to be fatigued even in work using the chainsaw. The chainsaw includes an electric motor provided inside a body casing; a guide bar provided in a front portion of the body casing in such a manner as to protrude forwardly; a saw chain provided around an outer periphery of the guide bar in an endlessly movable manner, and configured to be endlessly moved along the outer periphery of the guide bar under driving of the electric motor; a handle section provided with respect to the body casing, and configured to be gripped by a worker; and an anti-vibration member interposed between the body casing and the handle section.

  • Publication number: 20170203462
Abstract: To provide an easy-to-use electric chainsaw that uses, in place of a large battery pack with a high voltage rating that would have been used in conventional electric chainsaws, a battery power source composed of a set of small commonly used battery packs of the same rating. An electric chainsaw having a built-in electric motor that is powered by a rechargeable battery, wherein a set of commonly used battery packs of the same rating is used as the rechargeable battery. The set of battery packs is mounted at the back of the main housing so that the center of gravity (G) of the chainsaw is positioned within a range (R) of 1.5 time the width (W) of the grip section of a rear handle between the left and right sides of a center line that is centered in the horizontal direction.
