  • Patent number: 6823324
Abstract: A template storage unit stores a plurality of templates. A material data receiving unit receives material data. A combining rule storage unit stores a plurality of combining rules that each indicate a combining condition as a combination of attribute information, such as a type of material data and a version number, and a name of a template to be combined with when the combining condition is met. A combining instruction unit judges whether a combining condition of any of the combining rules is met or not and instructs a combining unit to combine the material data with the template when the combining condition is met. The combining unit combines the material data or a combination of the material data with the specified template according to the combining rule.

  • Publication number: 20040125761
Abstract: A data broadcast program transport stream (TS) transmission device provided in a broadcast station, and for transmitting a data broadcast program TS based on a data broadcast program TS distributed over a network by another broadcast station. The data broadcast program TS transmission device stores a selection list that shows whether data broadcast program elements of the received data broadcast program are for inclusion in the data broadcast program TS of the broadcast station, and a replacement list that shows the replacement of data broadcast program elements for inclusion with local program elements produced in the broadcast station. A separation judgment unit separates TS packets from the received data broadcast program TS, refers to the selection list, and notifies the replacement execution unit of data broadcast program elements for inclusion.

  • Publication number: 20030237098
Abstract: A data broadcast program control system is made up of a transmission apparatus for repeatedly transmitting a plurality of data elements that constitute a data broadcast program, and a broadcast apparatus for receiving and broadcasting the plurality of data elements. The transmission apparatus generates control information for instructing the broadcast apparatus to perform change processing on the constitution of the data broadcast program, and transmits the control information to the broadcast apparatus. The broadcast apparatus receives the control information, and performs the change processing on the constitution of the data broadcast program according to the control information. The broadcast apparatus broadcasts the data broadcast program whose constitution has been changed.

  • Patent number: 6584069
Abstract: A packet filtering apparatus selectively outputs packets among a plurality of inputted packets. A plurality of conditions are stored, with each condition being specified by a partial data position that indicates a position of a data part of a packet, comparison data to which the data part is to be compared, and a comparison criterion for comparing the data part and comparison data. Different conditions contain different comparison criteria. When filtering packets, a condition in one of the stored conditions is selected, and a data part of an inputted packet is compared with the comparison data of the selected condition according to the comparison criterion in the selected condition. Packets are selectively outputted depending on the result of the comparison.

  • Publication number: 20030079036
Abstract: A data stream selection/output apparatus that selects and outputs a data stream composed of sequentially obtained data. The data stream selection/output apparatus obtains timing information indicating a time at which a first data stream being output should be switched to a second data stream. The data stream selection/output apparatus, in a time period including the time indicated by the timing information, scans the first and second data streams to detect a first boundary between data blocks of the first data stream and a second boundary between data blocks of the second data stream, where the data blocks conform to a transmission protocol higher than Transport Layer of OSI Reference Model. The data stream selection/output apparatus then stops outputting the first data stream at the first block boundary and starts outputting the second data stream at the second block boundary.

  • Publication number: 20030003861
Abstract: In a data broadcast program production system of a broadcast station and a local broadcast station, the key broadcast station distributes raw data that has been obtained from an external raw data provision apparatus to the local broadcast station. Distribution setting information that lists a corresponded distribution target and raw data identifier is stored in a raw data net distribution information storage unit of a data broadcast program production apparatus at the key station. A raw data net distribution unit judges whether raw data received from a first data provision apparatus matches the raw data identifier listed in the distribution setting information, and when the two match, distributes the raw data to the local broadcast station data broadcast program production apparatus that is the distribution target.

  • Publication number: 20020176512
Abstract: A data transfer apparatus receives from an upper station a data stream that includes a plurality of types of repeat data, each type of repeat data being repeatedly transmitted by the upper station, and transfers the repeat data to a lower station, the data transfer apparatus including a storage unit having a storage area; an extraction unit for extracting the types of repeat data from the received data stream; a writing unit for writing the extracted repeat data to the storage area; a data structure ratio determination unit for determining a ratio between the types of repeat data to be output in a data stream per fixed length of time; and a data output unit for reading the repeat data stored in the storage unit, and outputting the read repeat data at the determined ratio.

  • Publication number: 20010018766
Abstract: A data broadcast content generation system stores body data for displaying a body page, a plurality of sets of part data each being composed of display element data for determining a display element and attached data for displaying an attached page, and schedule information which associates each broadcast data slot with a set of part data. For each broadcast time slot, the body data, display element data of the set of part data, and attached data of the set of part data are related to each other, so that a display element determined by the display element data will be displayed in the body page and a link destination of the display element will be an attached page displayed using the attached data. The body data, the display element data, and the attached data are then set as carousel data to be transmitted during the broadcast time slot.

  • Publication number: 20010013130
Abstract: A digital broadcasting system includes an authoring apparatus and a transmission apparatus. The authoring apparatus generates event information, which defines an event message that should be transmitted immediately after an operator's instruction to transmit the event message is received, and adds the event information to a content. The authoring apparatus then extracts the event information from the content by referring to tag information and transfers the extracted event information to the transmission apparatus. The transmission apparatus stores the event message defined by the event information transferred from the authoring apparatus. According to an operator's instruction to transmit the event message, the transmission apparatus issues the event message, and multiplexes and transmits the issued event message and the content.
