Abstract: A developer container for an image forming apparatus includes a developer accommodating chamber, provided with an opening, for accommodating a developer to be supplied to the opening; a feeding member, provided in the developer accommodating chamber and having an elasticity, for feeding the developer by rotation thereof; a deforming portion, provided in the developer accommodating chamber and contactable to the feeding member, for deforming the feeding member against the elasticity with the rotation of the feeding member; and a restoration portion for permitting the feeding member deformed by the deformed portion to restore elastically, thereby to throw the developer toward the opening, wherein a boundary portion between the deformed portion the restoration portion is disposed below a lower end of the opening.

Abstract: In a developing device, a rotation shaft is provided with a developer feeding member, a cleaning member, and a receiving portion. The receiving portion is provided downstream of the developer feeding member and upstream of a light transmitting member, provided to a wall surface of a developer accommodating chamber of the developing device, with respect to a rotational direction of the rotation shaft when the cleaning member has passed through the light transmitting member.

Abstract: A developing apparatus used in an electrophotographic image forming apparatus includes: a developing roller for developing a latent image formed on a photosensitive drum; a developing container for containing developer; a developer conveying member for supplying the developer from the developing container to the developing roller; a light transmissive member provided in the developing container, and formed integrally with a light emitting guide portion for guiding, into the developing container, a detecting light from a light emitting element provided in an electrophotographic image forming apparatus main body to detect a developer remaining amount in the developing container and a light receiving guide portion for guiding the detecting light that has passed through the developing container to a light receiving element provided in the apparatus main body; and a regulating member for covering at least a space between the light emitting guide portion and the light receiving guide portion.
