  • Patent number: 6682126
Abstract: A side visor fastener (1) comprises a retainer (25) to be fixed to a mounting portion (11) of a frame (3), and a clip for fastening the side visor (1) to a portion of the fastener extending from the retainer (25) to the side visor (1A). The clip includes a receiver clip element (26) to be disposed on the rear side of the side visor (1A), and a pin clip element (27) to be inserted from the front side or outer surface of the side visor (1A) into the receiver clip element (26) through the side visor (1A) so as to engage with the receiver clip element (26). The receiver clip element (26) is integrally connected with the retainer (25) through a thin-walled hinge (29) in a swingable manner in line with an inclination of the side visor (1A) with respect to the frame (3) so that the receiver chip element (26) is served as the portion of the fastener (1) extending from the retainer (25) to support the side visor (1A) through the thin-walled hinge (29).

  • Publication number: 20030214149
Abstract: An assembly for attaching a side-visor to a frame of a vehicle comprises a retainer that includes a mounting portion and a clip portion connected to the mounting portion by flexible straps that can be bent for alignment of the clip portion with a hole in the visor, through which a flanged pin is inserted into and coupled with the clip portion. Adjustability of the retainer, by virtue of the flexible straps, permits the same retainer to accommodate different visor inclinations and different visor hole positions.

  • Publication number: 20030143054
Abstract: The screw grommet 1 comprises a flange 2 and a shank 3 extending from the flange. The shank is provided with flexible legs 7 extending from the end of the shank towards the flange and outwardly from the shank. The shank has a screw insertion hole 13 into which a tapping screw is screwed to prevent the legs from being bent radially inward towards the shank so that the screw grommet is fixed to the workpiece by means of the legs and the flange. The inner portion of the legs is provided with a threaded section turned by screwing in the tapping screw. The flange 2 is integrated with a tubular fastening torque bearing section 18 extending in the direction opposite the shank 3. The fastening torque bearing section is formed with a screw insertion hole having a diameter smaller than the outside diameter of the tapping screw so as to receive the tapping screw.

  • Publication number: 20030143053
Abstract: The clip 1 comprises a hollow bushing 6 with a flange 10 and a shank 11, and a pin 5 with a shank 9 inserted into the bushing 6. The pin shank 9 is inserted into the bushing shank 11 to enlarge the bushing shank 11 so workpieces 2, 3 are connected to each other by the enlarged section of the bushing shank 26 and the bushing flange 10. A guide 13 extending from the end of the bushing shank so the pin shank is inserted into the bushing shank 11 without enlarging the bushing shank is formed in the end of the pin shank 5. The guide 13 has a large diameter section 14 larger than the end of the bushing shank. The diameter of the large diameter section 14 is formed so as to be larger than the diameter of a thick section 26 of the creep-deformed bushing shank when enlarged by the pin shank.
