  • Patent number: 7512979
Abstract: The present invention provides a log file protection system which makes it difficult for computer log information to be altered or deleted. A log information reception process includes receiving log information output from an original application process 210, and storing it in an internal cache 232 in a NIGELOG processing module 230. A hiding directory information gathering process scans a file system 300 to collect information on directories in which hiding is possible. This information constitutes a list of directories 233 in which hiding is possible, and is stored as a variable in the NIGELOG processing module 230. This variable is used by the NIGELOG process whenever files are generated or moved. An alteration detection and log information writing process detects alterations in log files, automatically restores these when alteration is detected, and periodically re-hides log files.

  • Patent number: 6181805
Abstract: In a dictionary image generating section, images of objects each belonging to any one of L categories are taken by a camera from predetermined M directions, a matching region of the object to be recognized is extracted from each of the object images, and dictionary images (N=L×M, n=1, 2, . . . , N) which are the representatives of combinations of direction and category are generated and stored together with the directions of the objects. When a test image is given, the degree of similarity r(n, X, Y) between an n-th dictionary image and the image region at the matching position (X, Y) in the test image is computed by a matching section. This matching process is repeated with the matching position (X, Y) and the number n of the dictionary image being varied, and the matching position (Xmax, Ymax) where the degree of similarity r(n) becomes the highest is detected.

  • Patent number: 5890206
Abstract: When sequential records are sequentially written to data blocks each having a fixed length on a disc storage medium, data to be saved are stored in a buffer of a main memory in addition to previously accumulated saved data, and a first data block A and a second data block C which is located apart from the first data block A at a distance of at least one block size, are updated alternately by moving all data, including the data to be saved and the previously accumulated saved data, stored in the buffer, to the data block. This method enables sequential records to be added and written while insuring the integrity of the data without lowering the data transfer efficiency.

  • Patent number: 5543113
Abstract: For an exhaust analyzer, the factors causing turbulence and mixing of the sample gas are removed from the sample gas-introducing pipe in order to introduce the sample gas into the analyzer cell under laminar conditions. Further, the indicated changes resulting from the fluctuations of sample gas pressure within the analysis cell of such a construction are compensated. As a result, the sample gas can be quantitatively analyzed with a high rate of response under the condition that the influences caused by the fluctuations of the sample gas pressure are reduced. The sample gas is introduced into the cell-type gas analyzer from the sample gas source through a gas-introducing pipe under laminar conditions.

  • Patent number: 5147426
Abstract: As gas-liquid centrifugal separator includes a housing having a gas separating chamber that communicates with a source of a gas sample. A rotating plate can be positioned within the gas separating chamber for the centrifugal separation of liquids and/or solid particulates from the sample gas. The gas separating chamber is maintained at a pressure differential below that of the source of the gas sample. The discharge passageway communicates with the separating chamber to remove the separated liquid and solid particulates. A pressure regulator assembly is connected to the discharge passageway and a source of a pressurized gas in order to be responsive to variations in the pressure status of the discharge passageway and thereby vary the flow of the secondary pressurized gas to render the pressure level in the discharge passage constant to enable a constant effluence of the separated liquid and solid particulates.

  • Patent number: 5100441
Abstract: An improved gas liquid separator assembly is provided having a housing block with an interior gas liquid separating chamber. A sample gas introducing conduit and a sample gas discharging conduit can extend from the exterior of the housing block to one upper surface of the separating chamber. An opening can extend through the lower end of the housing block from the other side of the separating chamber to the exterior of the housing block. This opening is of a configuration complementary to a detachable mounted motor block for supporting a centrifugal separator. The centrifugal separator can be easily detached for maintenance of the gas liquid separating chamber.

  • Patent number: 5041265
Abstract: A hydrogen gas analyzer having an improved delivery system is provided wherein a plurality of branched passageways can supply a sample cell and an additive fuel to a combustion chamber. Cutoff valves can be activated to control the flow rates through the respective passageways so that when the concentration of hydrogen in the sample gas is high, the flow rate from the additive fuel will be reduced, and when the concentration of hydrogen is low, the flow rate of the sample gas is reduced.
