  • Patent number: 6069094
Abstract: This invention discloses a method and apparatus where a pre-treatment which reduce interfacial level density is carried out before thin film deposition on a substrate utilizing a catalytic gas phase reaction. The catalytic gas phase reaction is generated with a treatment gas which is supplied with the substrate via a thermal catalysis body provided near the substrate surface. Thin film deposition on the substrate surface is carried out after this pre-treatment. The thermal catalysis body is made of tungsten, molybdenum, tantalum, titanium or vanadium, and is heated by a heater. And, this invention also discloses a semiconductor device having a semiconductor-insulator junction with its interfacial level density is 10.sup.12 eV .sup.-1 cm.sup.-2 or less, which is brought by the above pre-treatment in the insulator film deposition process.

  • Patent number: 6002428
Abstract: A motion vector detection circuit includes a registration determining switch which sets a first registration determination mode wherein at an initial field, correlation values are evaluated by a correlator on the basis of integrated color data of a specific detection block being stored in a representative color memory and integrated color data of twenty-five (25) detection blocks being stored in an integrated color memory. A comparison circuit compares the correlation values with a predetermined threshold value, and if a condition that the threshold value is larger than the correlation value is satisfied in each of eighty (80) percents or more detection blocks, the integrated color data stored in the representative color memory is registered as a representative color of an object, and otherwise, no registration is performed.

  • Patent number: 5870141
Abstract: A motion vector detection circuit includes a single representative point memory into which representative point data at a preceding frame of all of a plurality of detection blocks formed in a motion vector detection area in an overlapped manner are written. All pixel data at a current frame of the motion vector detection area are written into a single pixel memory. The representative point data are selectively read-out from the representative point memory, and the pixel data of a detection block corresponding to the selected representative point data are read-out from the pixel memory. Then, correlation of the selected representative point data between the pixel data is determined by a correlator, whereby a motion vector can be detected. Since all the representative point data and all the pixel data in the motion vector detection area are respectively written into the representative point memory and the pixel memory, it is possible to reduce the number of components and a cost.

  • Patent number: 5757422
Abstract: An object tracking apparatus includes a motion vector detection circuit in which a correlation value for each of detection blocks are evaluated by a first correlator on the basis of a portion motion vector of each of the detection blocks and a reference vector. If the correlation value is smaller than a threshold value, the detection block corresponding to the correlation value is regarded as a detection block constituting a tracking area. A gravity of the tracking area is detected by a gravity detection circuit, and a motion vector is generated by a motion vector generator on the basis of the gravity. A universal head is driven in accordance with the motion vector, whereby a specific object can be tracked automatically.

  • Patent number: 5120971
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a device for reflection-type pattern copying, characterized by letting beams of light be incident on a pattern reflection plate on which a pattern to be copied is drawn, converging a pattern figure contained in the light reflected by the pattern reflection plate by means of a concave mirror and copying a two-dimensionally reduced pattern of the above pattern onto a surface of a specimen. Unlike conventional methods, the invention achieves two-dimensional reduced pattern copying by using one concave convergence mirror. A region of copying in which the blur size is not larger than a certain sufficiently small value can be expanded by parallelly arrnaging many concave convergence mirrors having the same shape and combining mechanical sweeping of the pattern reflection plate and the specimen.

  • Patent number: 4876407
Abstract: 2,3-Dichlorobutadiene-1,3 is produced by a continuous dehydrochlorination of 1,2,3-trichlorobutene-3 in a water miscible solvent in the presence of an alkali metal hydroxide. An evaporator is connected in the downstream of a reactor for the dehydrochlorination to recover the unreacted 1,2,3-trichlorobutene-3 and said water miscible solvent by an evaporation.

  • Patent number: 4125564
Abstract: Chloroprene is produced by reacting 3,4-dichlorobutene-1 with a base in the presence of thiodiphenyl amine and 2,6-di-tertiarybutyl-p-cresol and preventing clogging of the equipment.3,4-Dichlorobutene-1 is produced by an isomerization of the reaction mixture obtained by a chlorination of excess of butadiene wherein higher boiling compounds are separated before a separation of the unreacted butadiene.

  • Patent number: 3992461
Abstract: In production of chloroprene by dehydrochlorinating 3,4-dichlorobutene-1 in the presence of an aqueous solution of alkali, the mixture of 3,4-dichlorobutene-1 and the aqueous solution of alkali is heated at 85.degree. to 100.degree. C to evaporate a mixture consisting mainly of the resulting chloroprene, unreacted 3,4-dichlorobutene-1 and water rapidly, the evaporated mixture is taken out from the reaction system without subjecting to a distillation and totally condensed, the condensed reaction mixture is separated into an aqueous phase and an organic phase and then the organic phase is fractionally distilled to separate chloroprene from 3,4-dichlorobutene-1. Prior to subjecting the organic phase to the fractional distillation, if the organic phase is previously subjected to a drying means and the water content in the organic phase is reduced to a proper degree, it is possible to avoid formation of polymer of the resulting chloroprene and corrosion of the distillation column.
