  • Publication number: 20010007411
Abstract: A luminescence controlling apparatus includes a rare gas pipe equipped with a pair of electrodes in which rare gas is sealed, a power supply for impressing voltage to the pair of electrodes and an electric charge absorption member for absorbing electrons generated during electric discharge of the rare gas pipe caused by impressing voltage to the pair of electrodes. The absorption member is disposed in the rare gas pipe. The luminescence controlling apparatus further includes a controller for controlling a luminescence amount of the rare gas pipe by adjusting a quantity of electrons absorbed by the electric charge absorption member.

  • Patent number: 5790597
Abstract: An interference compensator for compensating interference waves with long delay times generated during digital microwave communications system-based relaying of waves at a single frequency. The compensator receives a demodulated digital signal, passes the signal through shift registers with different delay times, and then, through a forward equalizer, a first backward equalizer, a second backward equalizer and a center equalizer. All equalizers are transversal type equalizers, outputs from which are added as an output. In addition, the compensator is equipped with a delay time control circuit which monitors the tap coefficients of the forward equalizer, the backward equalizers and the center equalizer and controls the delay times of the shift registers so that the tap coefficients become greatest at the center delay circuits of the respective transversal type filters.

  • Patent number: 5688109
Abstract: A lubricant (L) is stored in a lubricant reservoir (2c) of a casing (2). One end of a lubricant takeout pipe (15) is in communication with the lubricant reservoir (2c) and the other end thereof is in communication with a suction chamber (14) of a scroll mechanism (3). An inlet end of the lubricant takeout pipe (15) opens at the same level as an oil-level high-limit point of the lubricant reservoir (2c) in the vicinity of a lower end of a rotor (9b). When the level of the lubricant (L) moves up to the high-limit point, an excess lubricant is introduced from the lubricant reservoir (2c) into the scroll mechanism (3), since there is produced a difference in pressure between a lower space (2b) of the casing (2) and the suction chamber (14). As a result, the level of the lubricant (L) drops.

  • Patent number: 5689145
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a novel stator structure in an electrical rotating machine which has a stator to one end of which an end plate provided with a bearing is fixedly mounted and a rotor rotatably supported by the bearing, in which unwanted metal particles produced during welding of the end plate to the stator are prevented from entering between the stator and the rotor.Positioning protrusions 61 are formed extending axially from the one end of the stator and positioning apertures 71 are provided in the end plate 65 for corresponding to and engaging with the positioning protrusions 61. Also, welding projections to be melted by resistance welding are arranged as located substantially on straight lines respectively extending from the rotation shaft 67 across the positioning protrusions 61 and on the outer side of the positioning protrusions 61. The end plate 65 is joined to the one end of the stator by welding at welding points 14.

  • Patent number: 5592324
Abstract: A holder (10) is movably inserted in a through hole (22A) of a base portion (22) of a scanning head which is movable along a central axis (27) of a cylindrical inner surface drum, through a ball guide (13). Projections (25, 10B) of the base portion (22) and the holder (10) are coupled with each other by a ball screw (15). Further, a lens holder (2) is inserted/supported in a through hole (10E), and an imaging lens (1) is fixedly provided in the lens holder (2). A pulse motor (24) which is coupled to the ball screw (15) is rotated by the number of pulses as applied. As the result, the holder (10) and the lens holder (2) are moved toward the central axis (27), followed by movement of an imaging position of the lens (1).

  • Patent number: 5402445
Abstract: A decision feedback equalizer capable of coping with a high transmission rate and operable at a rate which is not effected by the number of taps. A first and a second shift register are respectively connected between a first and a second adder and between the second and a third adder. The output of a decision unit associated with the last tap is delayed one bit by a third shift register and then applied to multipliers at the same time. The multipliers, each being associated with respective tap, multiply their inputs by a first to a third tap coefficient, respectively. The resulting outputs of the multipliers are applied to the associated adders. The adders each has only to perform a single addition within a period of time corresponding to one bit.

  • Patent number: 5005185
Abstract: In a parallel-mode adaptive transversal equalizer, P- and Q-channel data streams from A/D converters (1, 5) are respectively passed through the tapped-delay lines of trasversal filters (2, 6), on the one hand, and are one-symbol delayed, on the other, by delay circuits (3, 7, 66, 67) to produce (N-1) successively delayed P- and Q-channel data streams, which are respectively passed through the tapped delay lines of transversal filters (4; 63, 8; 64). In each trasversal filter, symbols appearing at successive taps of the tapped-delay line are sampled and held for a duration of N symbols to produce first and second groups of stored symbols, the stored symbols of the first group being multiplied by first tap weights and summed, producing N first equalized outputs for each channel. The stored symbols of the second are multiplied by second tap weights and summed, producing N second equalized outputs for each channel.
