    Abstract: A process for preparing monoallylamine represented by the formula (II):CH.sub.2 .dbd.CHCH.sub.2 NH.sub.2 (II)which comprises: catalytically reacting isopropanolamine represented by the formula (I): ##STR1## in a gaseous phase in the presence of a catalyst having dehydrating property. According to the preparation process of the present invention, monoallylamine can be easily obtained in high selectivity and high yield.
