Abstract: An endoscope for treatment suitable to the treatment in a body cavity comprises an elongated soft observing optical unit having at least an observing optical system; and a unit inserting tool having a unit inserting channel in which the observing optical unit is inserted and a treatment tool inserting channel in which a treatment tool is inserted. The unit inserting channel of the unit inserting tool has a branching portion at which the unit inserting channel is branched into a first inserting channel and a second inserting channel. An observing window which is arranged at the end opening of the first inserting channel is provided in a surface at the distal-end and an observing window which is arranged at the end opening of the second inserting channel is provided in a surface at the halfway portion.

Abstract: A holding member has an opening portion which opens to an distal end. The opening portion, the distal end of an endoscope and a holding member define a treatment space. A clamping member can project and retreat from and into the opening portion through the treatment space. The puncture member can move in the treatment space, in a direction that intersects with the longitudinal direction of the endoscope.
Abstract: The present invention has an introducing tube capable of being inserted into a living body cavity, a manipulating wire movably inserted into this introducing tube, at least two or more clips, and a ligating wire causing the clip and the manipulating wire to be engaged with each other wherein, when the clip is ligated, a tensile stress of the manipulating wire is always applied only to the clip located at the most distal end.
Abstract: An endoscope system in accordance with the present invention comprises a plurality of endoscope modules having different treatment instruments mounted therein, an endoscope to which the endoscope modules can be attached, and a coupling member fixed to the distal part of an insertion unit of the endoscope and used to make the plurality of endoscope modules freely exchangeable. The plurality of endoscope modules having the different treatment instruments mounted therein are freely exchangeable to be coupled to the distal part of the insertion unit of the endoscope.
Abstract: In a suction control unit used with an endoscope having a channel, a tubular main body has a suction port in the side wall and a bore and in the bore, an inner tube with a through hole communicating with the channel of the endoscope is installed. A sliding tube is located slidably in the axial direction between the main body and the inner tube. The proximal end portion of an operating lever is secured at an upper position of the sliding the tube while the distal end portion extends outside the main body. This suction control unit is equipped with passage switching unit to connect the suction port with the endoscope channel or the outside of the main body through a relief port when the operating lever is operated.
Abstract: A device for operating the coeliac tubular member-closing implement comprises an outer tube, a hollow cylindrical needle which is inserted into the outer tube and whose forward end portion contains the coeliac tubular member-closing implement, a push tube for forcing the coeliac tubular member-closing implement out of the needle, a drive tube which is inserted into the push tube to move a second stop toward a first stop, and an elongated holding member which is inserted into the drive tube to hold the coeliac tubular member-closing element at the prescribed position. The needle is let to penetrate the coeliac tubular member which is going to be closed, with the coeliac tubular member-closing implement received in the needle. Thereafter, the needle is pulled out by the push tube with the coeliac tubular member-closing implement still retained in the coeliac tubular member. The second stop is pushed by the drive tube, thereby closing the coeliac tubular member by the action of both first and second stops.
Abstract: A coeliac tissue-suturing apparatus comprising a flexible tubular member having a passage extending therethrough and inserted into a channel of an endoscope, a needle having one end concentrically fixed to that end of the tubular member which is inserted into the endoscope and having the other end made into a sharp tip, said needle having substantially the same outer diameter as the tubular member and adapted to protrude from a distal end of the endoscope, a first-stop receiving chamber communicating with the atmosphere and the passage of the tubular member, a first stop for setting suturing thread on tissues around a coeliac bleeding spot at the commencement of a suturing operation, said first stop being adapted to fix one end of the suturing thread extended along the tubular member, and normally received in the first-stop receiving chamber, and a pushing member inserted into the tubular member for pushing the first stop out of the first stop-receiving chamber.
