  • Publication number: 20040192500
Abstract: A control apparatus and method for an automatic transmission, by which a shift is executed by simultaneously controlling release and application of different friction engaging elements, are provided which i) control a clamping force of a friction engaging element to be released and a clamping force of a friction engaging element to be applied, ii) adjust an output torque of a prime mover for driving a vehicle, iii) detect a predetermined timing that is after the start of a torque phase during a shift of the automatic transmission and before the clamping force of the friction engaging element to be applied increases to the point at which torque input to the automatic transmission can be transmitted by only the friction engaging element to be applied, and iv) output a command to gradually reduce the clamping force of the friction engaging element to be released and a command to gradually increase the clamping force of the friction engaging element to be applied, in the torque phase.

  • Publication number: 20040186637
Abstract: The present invention provides inspection of a transmission with higher precision and in a shorter period of time. Before a finished A/T is inspected, a V/B ASSY and an ECU are inspected together by a V/B tester in a subsidiary line. A solenoid current command value (a characteristic value inherent in the A/T) for a linear solenoid of the V/B ASSY is corrected and written into the ECU through CAN communication. Spring load of a return spring SP and stroke of the piston of a hydraulic servo for a frictional engagement element are measured. Actually measured values or corrected values of the spring load and the stroke are stored. In the final inspection of the A/T a finished-product tester reads the stored characteristic values and transmits them to the ECU integrated with the A/T through CAN communication. The characteristic values are then written into the ECU. The finished-product tester inspects the finished A/T product, using the characteristic values thus written into the ECU.

  • Patent number: 6719663
Abstract: A vehicular automatic transmission TM has a torque converter TC connected to the engine E and an automatic transmission mechanism (gear trains 13a, 13b, 14a, 14b) connected to the output side of the torque converter, the drive power from the engine for which gear shifting is performed via the torque converter and the automatic transmission mechanism is transmitted to the wheels and the vehicle is driven. The control apparatus for this automatic transmission mechanism has a towing state presumption device that presumes based on the driving conditions that the vehicle is in a towing state, and a lockup engagement increase mechanism that increases the degree of engagement of the lockup clutch of the torque converter when it is determined via the towing state determination device that the vehicle is in a towing state.

  • Publication number: 20030229701
Abstract: A communication system is arranged to efficiently control communications as being conscious of location information of a mobile body. The communication system includes an address list managing unit, a data supplying unit, a call connecting unit, a display unit, and a user interface. The address list managing unit stores and manages an address list about the location of each registered member. The data supplying unit generates data based on the address list so that the data can be disclosed on a Web site. The call connecting unit gives a call to a destination member specified by a user side for controlling a call connection. The display unit displays a screen image of the data to be referenced on the Web site. The user interface is used for specifying a destination member and a communication service type on the screen.

  • Patent number: 6197366
Abstract: According to the present invention, a metal paste comprising an organo- or inorganometallic compound of a metal that is a solid at ordinary temperature and belongs to group 3 through 15 of the periodic table, and an amino compound as medium, and which exhibits coatable viscosity, is provided. By using the metal paste, metal films of various types of metals or alloys can be formed inexpensively with an industrially simple process and apparatus even on various types of general-purpose, inexpensive substrates having a low softening point such as a glass, plastic, film and so forth, in addition to a ceramic substrate. In particular, the metal film can be formed easily in an ordinary pressure onto a printed wiring board or a substrate to be coated with a metal, which has a poor heat resistance.
