  • Patent number: 6830791
Abstract: In a glass panel includes at least three glass sheets for forming an air layer (K) and a vacuum layer (S) side by side and for partitioning between outdoor space and indoor space, at least either an outdoor-side glass sheet contacting the outdoor space or an indoor-side glass sheet contacting the indoor space of the glass sheets (G) contacts the vacuum layer (S) and includes a low-emittance film layer (M) formed on a face thereof contacting the vacuum layer (S).

  • Patent number: 6210763
Abstract: In a double glazing including a pair of glass sheets 1, a plurality of spacers 2 disposed between opposed sheet faces of the glass sheets 1 by a predetermined pitch, and a sealing member 4 interposed between the glass sheets 1 along the entire peripheries thereof, with a space V between the glass sheets being sealed in a vacuum condition, each spacer 2 is formed so as to maintain a predetermined distance between the glass sheets when subjected to a static normal external pressure normally applied thereto in the direction of sheet thickness and also to relieve stress through plastic deformation when subjected to an impact dynamically applied in the sheet thickness direction.

  • Patent number: 6105336
Abstract: The present invention relates to a heat-insulating multiple glazing and a vacuum multiple glazing. Conventionally, this type of glass does not provide sufficient heat-insulating performance. And, it has been necessary to form the heat-insulating multiple glazing thick, in order to enhance the heat-insulating performance. The present invention comprises a first vacuum multiple glazing (2) including two sheet glasses (3), (4) having peripheries thereof sealed and a plurality of layers of spacer (5) disposed within a gap therebetween, with the gap being depressurized; and a second vacuum multiple glazing (2) or an ordinary sheet glass (10) overlapped with the first multiple glazing (2) with a gap relative thereto and having the periphery thereof sealed with a sealing material (12), with the gap being charged with dry air or rare gas. Thus, it is possible to enhance the heat-insulating performance, without increasing the thickness of the entire heat-insulating multiple glazing.
