A method of facilitating expression of an antibacterial peptide and a method of facilitating expression of sirtuin 1 are also proposed, in each of which a wave at a Schumann resonance frequency is applied to a cell. Furthermore, an apparatus for facilitating expression of an antibacterial peptide and an apparatus for facilitating expression of sirtuin 1 are proposed, each of which includes an electromagnetic wave generation unit configured to generate a wave at a Schumann resonance frequency, and in each of which the wave at the Schumann resonance frequency is applied to a cell.
