Patent number: 7105748Abstract: The invention relates to a door module including a detachable panel and configured to wire a door harness. The detachable panel is configured to fit into a recessed portion formed in a door inner panel of a vehicle, and the door harness includes a trunk wire harness portion and at least two branched wire harness portions connected to the trunk wire harness portion and extending along branching directions from a branching point. The detachable panel is integrally provided with at least two projections each having rectangular faces configured to hold the branching point of the door harness. These projections are arranged to define a gap which has substantially the same size as the diameter of the trunk wire harness portion, so that the gap can grip the trunk wire harness portion, when it is mounted, from both sides thereof near the branching point, while the rectangular faces extend along the branched wire harnesses and guide them in the branching directions.Type: GrantFiled: December 17, 2004Date of Patent: September 12, 2006Assignee: Sumitomo Wiring Systems, Ltd.Inventors: Kouji Takase, Yukio Yamamoto, Hidenobu Ojima

Patent number: 7053305Abstract: The structure for mounting a door wire harness is configured to wire a door harness from a door inner panel toward a body panel in a vehicle. The door harness is mountable into a grommet. The door inner panel has a portion proximal to the body panel. The proximal portion is recessed and the recessed portion includes a grommet-holding device, such that the grommet can be fixed into the recessed portion from outside the door inner panel. Further, the door inner panel includes an inward face confronting the compartment of the vehicle. The portion proximal to the body panel includes a weather strip and the grommet is installed farther from the inward face than the weather strip.Type: GrantFiled: January 13, 2005Date of Patent: May 30, 2006Assignee: Sumitomo Wiring Systems, Ltd.Inventors: Kouji Takase, Yukio Yamamoto, Hidenobu Ojima

Patent number: 7053304Abstract: A door harness mounting device in a door inner panel of a vehicle, the door inner panel including an internal face facing the compartment of the vehicle, a mounting panel mountable on the internal face, an edge face facing the body panel of the vehicle and a weather strip extending on the edge face. The device includes a grommet including a bellows portion and an elastic device which at least includes an elastic portion and a panel-fixing portion, such that the door harness can fit into the grommet and be installed closer to the internal face than a weather strip. The panel-fixing portion is adapted to engage with the mounting panel, such that the elastic device can be mounted on the mounting panel, and the mounting panel is adapted to engage with the internal face, such that the elastic portion can expand or contract as a function of whether the door is opened or closed.Type: GrantFiled: December 16, 2004Date of Patent: May 30, 2006Assignee: Sumitomo Wiring System, Ltd.Inventors: Hidenobu Ojima, Yukio Yamamoto, Kouji Takase
