  • Patent number: 5126783
Abstract: An image forming apparatus for forming an image on a photosensitive recording medium by exposing the photosensitive recording medium to light by way of a mask member which is placed on an exposure station. The apparatus comprises a first transport device which transports the mask member through the exposure station and a second transport device which transports the photosensitive recording medium through the exposure station. A first exposure unit irradiates light upon the photosensitive record medium by way of said mask member at the exposure station to record an image formed on the mask member on the photosensitive recording medium. Alternatively, when a mask member is not used, a second exposure unit directs light through an auxiliary member having a light-passing image thereon to project and record the light-passing image onto the photosensitive recording medium.

  • Patent number: 5093904
Abstract: In a printing device, all the print data is printed out without any print command when a predetermined time is counted after a reception buffer has run out of data. It is also possible to ensure an error-free, proper automatic print operation by providing a facility of discriminating between suspension of data transmission for the reason of processing and real stop of data transmission and another facility of selecting whether or not to carry out the automatic printing.

  • Patent number: 5079587
Abstract: An image recording apparatus using a set of mask members and having mask position adjusting device. A transparent mask member supporting plate is provided at the exposure position. Each of the mask member is delivered upon the mask member supporting plate by two pairs of rollers. In this mask delivery, a mask image surface faces upwardly. An elongated photosensitive recording medium is positioned immediately above the mask member supporting plate so as to guide the medium at the exposure position. Further, an exposure device including a light source and color filters is positioned below the mask member supporting plate. The mask member undergoes positional adjustment at the exposure position. For this, the mask member supporting plate is supported on a positioning frame which is movable in a direction perpendicular to the mask member moving direction.

  • Patent number: 5068685
Abstract: An image recording apparatus capable of providing an intended numbers of output copies regardless of the mask member feed mode. A set of the mask members are automatically fed from a laser printer to a color copying portion after the set is produced at the laser printer. Further, another set of mask members already on hand can also be set on a mask member tray, and the another set can be delivered to the color copying portion. The mask members are normally printed with bar codes indicative of the numbers of the output copies. The bar codes can be invalidated in case of the mask feed mode from the tray, and newly input numbers of copies are obtainable in the mask feed mode from the tray.

  • Patent number: 5059988
Abstract: In an image forming apparatus, a mask original prepared by a monochrome laser printer and a photosensitive recording medium are brought into close contact with each other and in this state are subjected to exposure in an exposure unit. Thereafter, the photosensitive recording medium and a developer sheet are subjected to pressure-development and heat-fixing, and a color image is outputted onto the developer sheet. The image forming apparatus is provided with a recurler for remedying curl formed at the front edge of a mask original. Thus, the curl is remedied by the recurler, so the mask original can be positioned accurately in a positioning device.

  • Patent number: 5049918
Abstract: An image recording apparatus for recording an image orresponding to an image corresponding to an original image on a photosensitive recording medium. This apparatus uses at least one mask member having a surface on which a light shielding image corresponding to the original image. In order to reproduce a clear image, various factors which may cause to change the amount of exposure are compensated for. Such factors includes the thickness of the paper of the mask member, the paper quality of the mask member, the condition of a laser printer which prints the light shielding image on the mask member.

  • Patent number: 5049922
Abstract: An image forming apparatus for forming an image on a photosensitive recording medium by exposing light by way of one of plural mask members which are selectively and consecutively placed on an exposure position. The apparatus includes a plurality of holding or retention positions linearly connected to the exposure position to which the mask members are selectively displaced. A transport device transports the mask members from the exposure position to the holding positions and vice versa.
