  • Publication number: 20080239576
Abstract: A suspension for disc drive includes a base plate, a load beam, and a flexure. The flexure includes a metal base member and a circuit member disposed along the metal base member. The circuit member extends in a longitudinal direction of the load beam. The circuit member includes a resin base member formed of an electrically insulating resin and conductors. The conductors are formed into predetermined circuit patterns by etching a deposited copper layer deposited on the resin base member. Each conductor has a cross section in the shape of a trapezoid such that the width of a surface of the conductor which faces the resin base member is greater than that of a surface of the conductor on the side opposite from the resin base member.

  • Patent number: 7201812
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a seamless steel tube, wherein a tubing material for the seamless steel tube is produced by a hot working process from a material having less workability, such as a high Cr—high Ni—high C alloy steel including Cr at a content not less than 15 weight % and Ni at a content not less than 20 weight % or a ferritic stainless steel including Cr at a content not less than 16 weight %, and then cold drawn at a reduction rate of not less than 15% and further cold rolled after applying an appropriate heat treatment, so that a round or an inner grooved steel tube is obtained. It is preferable that the hot extrusion process is employed for the hot working process and a cold Pilger mill is employed for the cold rolling process. In the cold rolling process, the crackings or damage resulting from the reduced toughness of the tubing material as well as the breakage of a mandrel in producing the round or the inner grooved tube can be suppressed.

  • Publication number: 20060268461
Abstract: A head suspension for a hard disk drive has a base attached to a carriage of the hard disk drive and is turned around a spindle. A load beam includes a rigid part and a resilient part which applies load onto a head at a front end of the load beam to write and read data to and from a disk arranged in the hard disk drive. The rigid part is supported to the base through the resilient part. A flexure is attached to at least the rigid part of the load beam and has read/write wiring patterns connected to the head. A recessed portion or a through-hole portion is formed in at least one of the load beam and the base for avoiding vibration contact of the flexure.

  • Publication number: 20060193742
Abstract: The invention provides a super hard and tough, nano-crystal austenite steel bulk material having an improved corrosion resistance, and its preparation process. The austenite steel bulk material comprises an aggregate of austenite nano-crystal grains containing 0.1 to 2.0% (by mass) of a solid solution type nitrogen, wherein an oxide, nitride, carbide or the like of a metal or semimetal exists as a crystal grain growth inhibitor between and/or in said nano-crystal grains. For preparation, fine powders of austenite steel-forming components, i.e., iron and chromium, nickel, manganese, carbon or the like are mixed with a substance that becomes a nitrogen source. Mechanical alloying (MA) is applied to the mixture, thereby preparing nano-crystal austenite steel powders having a high nitrogen concentration. Finally, the austenite steel powders are consolidated by sintering by means of spark plasma sintering, rolling or the like.

  • Publication number: 20060127266
Abstract: The invention provides a high hard, strength and tough nano-crystal metal bulk material and a preparation process thereof. The metal bulk material comprises an aggregate of metal nano-crystal grains, wherein an oxide, nitride, carbide, boride or the like of a metal or semimetal exists as a crystal grain growth inhibitor between and/or in the nano-crystal grains. The respective fine powders of nano-metal bulk material-forming components are mechanically alloyed (MA), using a ball mill or the like, thereby preparing nano-metal powders. Then, hot forming-by-sintering treatment such as spark plasma sintering, extrusion and rolling or explosive forming is applied to the powders to obtain a high hard, strength and tough nano-crystal metal bulk material.
