  • Patent number: 7695404
Abstract: When an n speed prohibition command is being output from the AI shift controlling component, the AI shift control is performed even in the S mode if the vehicle speed V is lower than the reference vehicle speed Vn, whereby busy shifting can be effectively prevented when the vehicle is running on an uphill road or cornering. When the vehicle speed V is equal to or higher than the reference vehicle speed Vn, the AI shift control is cancelled, thus minimizing the possibility of a large engine brake force being applied to the vehicle despite the intention of the driver.

  • Publication number: 20090018757
Abstract: The present invention relates to a control device for a vehicle, having an engine 10 connected to an automatic transmission 14 via a torque converter 12 incorporating a lockup clutch 32. A fuel cutoff control is performed for interrupting the supply of fuel to the engine 10 when controlling the lockup clutch 32 during a deceleration of the vehicle. The control device is operative to interrupt the fuel cutoff control when a brake pressure PBK of a foot brake 38 for braking the vehicle exceeds a predetermined value. Accordingly, using the brake pressure PBK with increases response as a determining standard enables a sudden deceleration of the vehicle to be appropriately determined in a practical mode, appropriately enabling the suppression of engine stall while realizing improved fuel consumption.

  • Patent number: 5694314
Abstract: A compact optical disk drive unit improved in workability of assembly. A first printed wiring board having a signal demodulating circuit, a drive unit control circuit, and a drive circuit for driving a voice coil motor is mounted on an upper surface of a drive base. A first connector is mounted on a lower surface of the first printed wiring board. A moving optical assembly having an objective lens is movably mounted on the drive base, and a fixed optical assembly having a laser drive module and a photodetector is mounted on a lower surface of the drive base. The fixed optical assembly includes a second printed wiring board having a second connector. The first and second printed wiring boards and are connected together through the first and second connectors.

  • Patent number: 5142520
Abstract: A system for obtaining an optimum focusing position in an optical disc system. An optical beam is impinged onto a track of an optical disc, and a reflection signal having information regarding an intensity of an optical beam reflected by an optical disc is obtained. A predetermined frequency component, the frequency component being generated by a modulation caused by an existence of a pit on a track of the optical disc in a reflecting signal, is extracted from the reflection signal. Then a focus position in which a maximum intensity of the extracted frequency component is obtained is searched by changing the focus position of the optical beam. Further, the above system is incorporated in a focus servo control system for maintaining an optimum focusing position in an optical disc system during reading and writing operations, to determine an optimum offset value which is to be adjusted to compensate an error arisen from a construction of the focus servo control system, during an offset adjusting operation.
