  • Patent number: 5251831
Abstract: Raw coal is caused to fall through a coal feed pipe and onto a table so as to be pulverized by a roll. Fine coal particles and coarse coal particles resulting from pulverization are moved upward between an auxiliary classifier cone and a mill casing by hot air supplied from below the mill casing. The hot air (upward stream) carrying the fine coal particles and the coarse coal particles moves across a space of triangular cross section formed between the inverted conical body of the auxiliary classifier cone and the side wall of the mill casing and is forced through blowoff openings defined between deflector plates so as to flow as a lateral rotative stream toward a rotary classifier. Upon impinging the downward-inclined rotating vanes of the rotary classifier, the coarse coal particles are sprung back toward a lower portion of the auxiliary classifier cone and are separated from the fine coal particles.

  • Patent number: 5230474
Abstract: A mill inert apparatus for preventing the explosion of a mill inert apparatus which comprises a drain separator and a drain trap for separating and removing drain contained in an inert vapor, and a drain discharge route for discharging the separated drain. Furthermore, a method for preventing the explosion of a coal pulverizer which comprises the step of introducing an inert medium into the coal pulverizer in specific operation stages so that an oxygen concentration in the coal pulverizer may be in the range of from 13% to 15%.

  • Patent number: 4910507
Abstract: In an interface module for connecting user terminals of the carrier sense multiple access collision detection (CSMA/CD) local area network (LAN) to a different access mode switching network, a transmit buffer is connected at one end through a transmit data channel to a user terminal and connected at the other end to a desired swtching system. A receive buffer is connected at one end to the switching system to store a receive packet supplied from it. An OR gate is provided having a first input connected to the transmit data channel, a second input connected to the other end of the receive buffer and an output connected through a receive data channel to the user terminal. A detector circuit detects when a transmit packet is received from the user terminal.

  • Patent number: 4866702
Abstract: A star topology local area network comprises a data bus, a receive-not-ready bus, a plurality of bus access units associated respectively with user terminals for receiving a request therefrom, and an arbiter for assigning priority to one of the bus access units when requests for transmission occur simultaneously. Each of the bus access units comprises a transmit buffer for storing a packet from the associated user terminal and forwarding it to the data bus when priority is assigned to it and a receive buffer for storing a packet from the data bus and forwarding it to the associated user terminal. An address filter is provided in each bus access unit to detect a packet addressed to it and applies a receive-not-ready signal to the receive-not-ready bus when the receive buffer has an insufficient capacity to receive the detected packet. A bus access controller is connected to the receive-not-ready bus for terminating the transmission of a packet in response to the receive-not-ready signal.

  • Patent number: 4675866
Abstract: A specific channel CRF which sends back signals of a specific channel but permits bidirectional free pass of signals of the other channels is inserted at an intermediate point of a transmission path. Furthermore, a baseband network and an internetwork connecting device are connected to a broadband transmission path for effecting communication between baseband networks by utilizing the internetwork connecting device when communication distance is extended.
