Abstract: A scintillator panel includes a substrate made of an organic material, a barrier layer formed on the substrate and including thallium iodide as a main component, and a scintillator layer formed on the barrier layer and including cesium iodide as a main component. According to this scintillator panel, moisture resistance can be improved by providing the barrier layer between the substrate and the scintillator layer.

Abstract: A camera according to the present invention which uses a film cartridge equipped with an indicating section for indicating an exposed state of a film housed within the film cartridge. The camera comprises a film compartment for accommodating the film cartridge, a cover member for closing the film compartment, and an ejector formed within the film compartment. The ejector blocks the mounting of the film cartridge when the exposure-state indicating section takes a development-completed condition indicating position, a completely exposed condition indicating position or a partially exposed condition indicating position, while allowing the film cartridge to be mounted therein when it takes a non-exposed condition indicating position. In addition, the ejector pushes the film cartridge out of the film compartment when the cover member is opened after a completion of photography.

Abstract: An improved film pressure plate of a camera for use with a film having a magnetic recording portion is provided. The film pressure plate comprises a magnetic head for recording magnetic information onto the magnetic recording portion of the film and a film contact surface which may include a plurality of small projections formed on a portion of a surface of the film pressure plate. The projections are not provided on at least one of a lengthwise elongated area, which includes the magnetic head, and a widthways elongated area, which may also include the magnetic head. As a consequence of this arrangement, a flatness of the film is assured by pressing the film against the exposure aperture of the camera.

Abstract: A camera having a device for feeding a film, includes a driving unit for generating driving force, a first unit to be driven for feeding the film in a first direction, a second unit to be driven for feeding the film in a second direction which is different from the first direction, and a portion to be driven always engaged with the driving unit, a shaft unit being angularly moved by the driving unit, a driving portion always engaged with the first unit to be driven for moving the shaft unit while angularly moving the shaft unit in an axial direction of the shaft unit when the shaft unit is angularly moved by the driving unit, and an engagement portion for being engaged with the second unit to be driven.

Abstract: A flashing device having an optical panel 3 to converge light, emitted from a flashing discharge tube 1, and reflected from a reflector 2, the converged light being directed by the optical panel to a photographic object. The optical panel is placed in front of the flashing discharge tube 1 and reflector 2 so as to control the light distribution in a transverse direction perpendicular to the axis of the flashing discharge tube 1. Moreover, the optical panel has different optical characteristics at its central portion and circumferential portion in the transverse direction perpendicular to the axis of the flashing discharge tube 1.

Abstract: The reflecting mirror for leading the image forming light bundle emitted from an image pickup optical system to an image forming surface has an area for reflecting the effective image forming light bundle, and another marginal area which is located outside said area, and has a reflecting characteristic different from that of said area and varying gradually outward. Accordingly, the reflecting mirror is capable of blurring the boundary of the veiling glare and reducing appearance of detrimental images. The variation of the reflecting characteristic on said outside marginal area can be realized by varying reflectance or light diffusing characteristic of the outside marginal area.
