  • Publication number: 20210166659
Abstract: A head-up display device (HUD) 1 includes a sound analysis portion 42 that determines whether a specific alarm is involved in sound signals from microphones 40a to 40d to collect ambient sound around a vehicle 2. When a specific alarm has been detected as determined by the sound analysis portion 42, an image display unit 30 displays icons 91, 92 representing the specific alarm. The specific alarm includes a siren sound given from an emergency vehicle and a horn sound given from a general vehicle and the sound analysis portion 42 analyzes frequency of input sound signals and thereby determines whether the sound is the specific alarm.

  • Patent number: 7982804
Abstract: Image quality adjustment of an inputted image signal is performed with higher accuracy to display a more preferable image to the user. An attribute information determining unit obtains first attribute information indicating the format of the inputted image signal and second attribute information indicating transmission characteristics of the image signal. An image quality adjustment value calculating unit calculates optimal image quality adjustment values for the image signal from the obtained first and second attribute information. An image processing unit adjusts the image quality of the image signal based on the optimal image quality adjustment values and then outputs the image to an image display. The second attribute information includes the bit rate, resolution, and frame rate of the image signal.

  • Patent number: 7809414
Abstract: A portable information terminal includes a first casing having a manipulation unit at its surface, a second casing having a display unit at its surface, and a rotation link mechanism linking the first casing and the second casing such that the second casing rotates slidably with respect to the first casing. The rotation link mechanism is configured to allow transition, by one rotating operation, from one to another of a closed state in which the second casing entirely covers the manipulation unit of the first casing and an open state in which the manipulation unit of the first casing is exposed as a result of movement of the second casing that takes an axially symmetric orientation to the center line of the first casing in the open state. Thus, the operation from a closed state up to an open state can all be readily conducted with one hand.

  • Publication number: 20070285401
Abstract: A portable information terminal includes a body section (1) having a liquid crystal display screen (3) and a speaker (4, 5) on a front face thereof, a pull-out section (2) having a liquid crystal display/input screen (20) facing the same direction as the first screen and a microphone (11). The pull-out section (2) is provided to be slidably moved relative to the inside of the body section (1). Accordingly, by pulling out the pull-out section (2), multiple pieces of information can be displayed using both of the screens (3, 20). Further, since the liquid crystal display screen (3) is always exposed outside, the screen can be viewed quickly with one hand.

  • Patent number: 6462466
Abstract: In a color cathode ray tube, inner lead pin segments which extend inside the neck of a funnel constituting an vacuum envelope, outer lead pin segments which are led out of the neck and interconnecting wires which respectively connect both lead pin segments together are provided in a stem for sealing the end portion of the neck. The inner lead pin segments are arranged along a first circumference and are supported by respective projections protruding from the stem. The outer lead pin segments are arranged along a second circumference having a larger diameter than that of the first circumference. The inner lead pin segments are connected to the respective outer lead pin segments by the respective interconnecting wires which are bent in the stem and the respective projections.
