  • Patent number: 11958537
Abstract: A vehicle includes a hood. The hood includes a hood outer and a hood inner. The hood inner has a plate shape, covers a lower surface of the hood outer, and is made of resin. A space is provided between the hood outer and the hood inner. The hood inner includes a shock absorbing portion that is bent so as to project toward the space. The shock absorbing portion has a central portion located at a center of the shock absorbing portion in a right-left direction of the vehicle and side portions located on respective sides of the central portion in the right-left direction. A thickness of the hood inner in the central portion is thicker than a thickness of the hood inner in the side portions.

  • Patent number: 7219958
Abstract: This child car seat includes a child car seat body, a back portion rotatably held in inclination by the child car seat body, a seat portion rotatably connected to a lower part of the back portion and a shock absorbing mechanism arranged between the child car seat body and either one or both of the back portion and the seat portion. The seat portion and the back portion hold a newborn. When an impact force directing from a front face side of the back portion toward its back face side is applied on the newborn, the back portion rotates in its rising direction and the shock absorbing mechanism operates to reduce the impact force applied on the newborn. Consequently, the newborn can be held on the child car seat in a state close to a condition where the newborn lies on its back. Since the back portion stands up at the time of impact, the newborn is capable of receiving the impact through the whole area of a newborn's back.

Abstract: This child car seat 27 includes a child car seat body 29, a back portion 31 rotatably held in inclination by the child car seat body 29, a seat portion 37 rotatably connected to a lower part of the back portion 31 and a shock absorbing mechanism 49 arranged between the child car seat body 29 and either one or both of the back portion 31 and the seat portion 37. The seat portion 37 and the back portion 31 hold a newborn. When an impact force directing from a front face side of the back portion 31 toward its back face side is applied on the newborn, the back portion 31 rotates in its rising direction and the shock absorbing mechanism 49 operates to reduce the impact force applied on the newborn. Consequently, the newborn can be held on the child car seat in a state close to a condition where the newborn lies on its back Since the back portion stands up at the time of impact, the newborn is capable of receiving the impact through the whole area of a newborn's back.

  • Patent number: 6672664
Abstract: A child car seat (10) has a belt insertion opening (13) having inlets at opposite side surfaces thereof to receive a seat belt (16) inserted therethrough, and has an aperture (14) opening to the front surface thereof to provide access to the belt insertion opening (13). A belt locking apparatus (20) is disposed inside the belt insertion opening (13) to be handled through the aperture (14). The belt locking apparatus (20) includes a base (21) secured inside the belt insertion opening (13), and a lock arm (22) disposed for rotation relative to the base (21) to receive the seat belt (16) therein when the lock arm (22) is opened, and to clamp the seat belt (16) between the lock arm (22) and the base (21) when the lock arm (22) is closed.
