  • Publication number: 20020181557
Abstract: Channel estimating section 102 calculates a channel estimation value by calculating the correlation between a basic code and midamble of a receiving baseband signal and therefore, creates a delay profile. User determining section 104 selects, with reference to delay profile, a user, as a user used in matrix manipulation for cancelling interference, whose maximum receiving power value exceeds a user determining threshold. Path selecting section 107, referring to delay profile, selects a path, as a path used in the matrix manipulation for cancelling interference, whose receiving power exceeds a path selection threshold value. JD demodulating section 108 generates a matrix by carrying out predetermined processing using the channel estimation value of a path selected by path selecting section 107 of a user selected by user determining section 104 and multiplies the generated matrix by a received baseband signal.

  • Publication number: 20020160735
Abstract: A data portion measuring section 103 measures a reception level of a data portion of a received signal, and a pilot portion measuring section 104 measures a reception level of a pilot portion of the received signal. A comparing/selecting section 105 compares the reception level of the data portion with that of the pilot portion, and selects a higher reception level. An AGC gain value calculating section 106 calculates an AGC gain value from the higher reception level selected by the comparing/selecting section 105 and an input allowable level of A/D conversion.

  • Patent number: 5438183
Abstract: A microwave oven includes a cavity in which food is accommodated, a magnetron for generating microwaves, and a waveguide to supply microwaves generated from the magnetron into the cavity. The waveguide has substantially a truncated cone configuration in which the cross sectional area at the cavity side is greater than the cross sectional area at the magnetron side, and an output antenna of the magnetron is disposed to project from the bottom of the waveguide at the magnetron side into the inner space of the waveguide. The microwave oven further includes a flat radiation antenna fixed in the inner space of the waveguide around the output antenna of the magnetron while maintaining distances from the waveguide and the output antenna of the magnetron in which no spark is generated. Therefore, the radiation area for emitting the microwaves is increased significantly to improve heating nonuniformity within the cavity.
