  • Publication number: 20240161997
Abstract: A light source that emits pulse excitation light includes a laser light source, an optical splitter that splits a pulse laser beam into a plurality of pulse laser beams, phase adjusters and optical amplifiers provided for the pulse laser beams, and an optical combiner that combines the plurality of pulse laser beams whose phases are adjusted and that are amplified, and outputs combined light as the pulse excitation light. An optical phase controller controls phase delay amounts of the phase adjusters, and an optical monitor detects an inclination of the pulse excitation light relative to an optical axis of a focusing lens. The optical phase controller stores phase delay amount data indicating phase delay amounts of the plurality of phase adjusters in which the inclination is a predetermined value, and sets the phase delay amounts of the plurality of phase adjusters based on the phase delay amount data.

  • Publication number: 20240120168
Abstract: An electron beam emitted from a photoexcited electron gun is increased in luminance. An electron gun 15 includes: a photocathode 1 including a substrate 11 and a photoelectric film 10; a light source 7 that emits pulsed excitation light; a condenser lens 2 that focuses the pulsed excitation light toward the photocathode; and an extractor electrode 3 that faces the photocathode and that accelerates an electron beam generated from the photoelectric film by focusing the pulsed excitation light by the condenser lens, transmitting the pulsed excitation light through the substrate of the photocathode, and causing the pulsed excitation light to be incident on the photocathode. The pulsed excitation light is condensed at different timings at different positions on the photoelectric film of the photocathode.

  • Patent number: 4590988
Abstract: In a method of manufacturing amorphous metal ribbons by ejecting molten metal through a nozzle attached to a tundish onto a rapidly moving cooling body, the molten metal is suppled to the tundish by first pouring the molten metal from a ladle into an intermediate vessel and then by supplying the molten metal from the intermediate vessel to the tundish through a gas-lift pump. An apparatus for supplying molten metal to a tundish comprises an intermediate vessel adjacent to the tundish and a gas-lift pump to supply the molten metal from the intermediate vessel to the tundish. The molten metal is poured from a ladle into the intermediate vessel. The gas-lift pump has a pump proper that is placed over the intermediate vessel and tundish so that its inlet and outlet open in the intermediate vessel and tundish, respectively. Bubbles are suppled into the pump proper through its inlet.

  • Patent number: 4502532
Abstract: A joint construction for a fin-and-tube type heat exchanger formed of aluminum suitable for use as an evaporator of a cooling system for an automotive vehicle, wherein an end plate near the open ends of tubes is formed with openings larger in diameter than the openings formed in fins to which the tubes are securedly fixed. The joint construction includes a flare formed at the open end of the tube by inserting a tube end flaring punch and restrained by the opening formed in the end plate to be kept from outwardly expanding more than is necessary. Thus the flare produced has high dimensional accuracy and a tube member can be joined to the open end of each tube by brazing with a high degree of accuracy and precision. The brazed joint produced has higher reliability in performance than brazed joints of the prior art. The use of the improved joint construction enables brazing to be carried out automatically and allows a compact size to be obtained in a fin-and-tube type heat exchanger.
