  • Publication number: 20040057154
Abstract: A magnetic head and a manufacturing method for the same are provided. An abutting plane is formed on a first core, and the abutting plane is butted to a bonding surface of a second core. This allows the first core and the second core to be brought partly into surface contact with each other, and the abutting plane to be planarly machined with high accuracy. Hence, the planar bondability of the first core and the second core can be improved, and the bonding strength can be uniformly enhanced.

  • Patent number: 6206683
Abstract: Two sets of linear motors are fixed on opposed sides of a molding head driving device. Each linear motor includes a movable slider facing a casing. The linear motor contains a molding head and a magnetic plate facing a molding head. The use of two linear motors cancels out the magnetic attraction between the facing linear motors. A linear roller guide is disposed vertically in a direction perpendicular to the magnetic attraction between the linear motors so that the magnetic attraction from the linear motors does not act on the linear roller guide. In another embodiment, three sets of molding head driving devices are disposed between left and right frames integrally formed projecting from a base to form a molding device. In a further embodiment a pair of double linear motors drives four molding head driving devices. The double linear motors are affixed together by, for example, bolts.

  • Patent number: 6089113
Abstract: A corresponding pair of male and female screw members includes alternately disposed rising and falling sloped surfaces on threads of the male and female screw members along a sliding direction of the threads. Depressions and projections are disposed continuously in a direction perpendicular to the sliding direction. One of the depressions or one of the projections resides between each adjacent pair of the sloped surfaces. A lubricating oil is placed between the threads of the male and female screw parts. An incline angle of the sloped surfaces is selected appropriately to increase a wedging action of the sloped surfaces against the lubricating oil film which occurs when the male screw member is rotated with respect to the female screw member.

  • Patent number: 6012322
Abstract: A slide-driving device for knuckle presses employs a side link affixed at a base end to the knuckle press, and pivoted at its outer end to a junction between links that drive the slide. The side link maintains a very small slope angle for the lower link, which raises and lowers the slide. The small slope angle prevents thrust force from being generated on the slide, and enables performing high-precision molding of products even with extrusion operations, where the molding is started from a position high above the bottom dead center of the slide. In one embodiment of the invention, the base end of the side link is rigidly affixed to the frame of the knuckle press. In a second embodiment of the invention, a bottom dead center compensation device adjusts the position of the outer end of the side link at bottom dead center to compensate for changes in the linkage.

  • Patent number: 5937693
Abstract: A transfer apparatus for use in a press in which successive workpieces are sequentially transferred from one to the next of a plurality of working stages arranged along a line. The transfer apparatus has a transfer bar having a plurality of workpiece holding devices such as air chucks each being capable of holding and releasing the workpiece, and a driving unit provided at the rear side of the press.

  • Patent number: 5915296
Abstract: In a machine press with at least three slides, the phases for the stroke of a leftmost slide and a rightmost slide are made identical. The strokes for other slides interposed between the leftmost and rightmost slides are out of phase with the leftmost and rightmost slides. The lower dead point of each slide is the point of maximum pressure. Since the difference in phase of the strokes of the slides causes the lower deadpoints of the leftmost and rightmost slides to occur either before or after the lower deadpoints of the other slides, the total instantaneous eccentric load on the multiple slide machine press is reduced.

  • Patent number: 5761994
Abstract: A multi-slide mechanical press comprising a plurality of slides, wherein each of the slides is provided with a guide that reciprocatingly drives the associated slide, without having to increase the pitch between slides, and that makes it possible to eliminate the effects of the presence of a gap around a slide adjust screw section. In the multi-slide mechanical press, the upper section of each slide is prismatic, while the lower section is cylindrical. Pressure-bearing guides disposed at the frame are provided so as to oppose the front and back sides of the prismatic section. A cylindrical guide provided in the frame for the cylindrical section of each slide guide guides the slide vertically but without allowing it to rotate.

  • Patent number: 5738005
Abstract: Disclosed is a method according to which workpieces are fed and subjected to stamping by continuously operating a press in which a plurality of slides operating with a difference in phase are arranged laterally in a straight line. A longitudinal feeding device for longitudinally feeding workpieces is provided in each slide. Each slide and the longitudinal feeding device thereof operate in synchronism with each other, so that even when the press is continuously operated, the workpieces can be fed without involving any interference between the press and the transfer device. Further, the feeding of workpieces in the lateral direction, which is executed as needed, is effected outside the machining stage, so that there is no interference regardless of the difference in phase of the slides, whereby it is possible to feed workpieces without having to intermittently operate the press.

  • Patent number: 4434646
Abstract: A C-frame press includes a C-shaped frame having a crown part and a bed part defining an opening therebetween, and spacers positioned in the opening and being sufficiently long for urging the crown part and the bed part apart in the vertical direction a distance sufficient to cause the frame to exert on the spacers a load which is at least a substantial part of the normal maximum press load exerted by the press on a workpiece. The press further has a slide reciprocal between the crown part and the bed part, a main shaft having a flywheel thereon and positioned laterally of the slide within the frame, eccentric discs rotatably mounted within the frame and driven from the main shaft, connecting rods extending substantially horizontally from the eccentric discs towards the upper portion of the slide and reciprocated by the eccentric discs, and a toggle mechanism mounted between the slide and the crown part and having a central shaft portion to which the connecting rods are connected.
