  • Patent number: 5459911
Abstract: A method for obtaining a fluffy surface on cloth on which short fluff is thickly and uniformly formed. In this fluff-raising process there is no deterioration of the cloth such as undue heating of cloth or the cutting off of raised fibers. The method includes the conveying of the cloth between a working rotary member formed of a cylindrical grindstone and a pressure-contact member having a cooperating circular arc-shaped concave surface portion with which a part of a peripheral surface of the working rotary member is cooperatively engaged. The pressure-contact member is disposed in such a manner that the circular arc-shaped concave surface portion thereof faces closely to the adjacent part of the peripheral surface of the working rotary member.

  • Patent number: 5349711
Abstract: Length of an elongated belt-like cloth receivable in a treatment tank is increased by a compact and simple mechanism, and, moreover, impact force applied to the cloth is enhanced, whereby efficiency in cloth treatment such as washing in water, scouring, dyeing and treatment quality are improved. A treatment tank 10 used in carrying out the invention is divided into a front chamber 12 and a rear chamber 14, and a cylindrical rotary member 28 comprising a plurality of rods 30 arranged to form a cylinder is disposed on the midway of a passage 26 communicating the two chambers. A predetermined length of the cloth 20 is fed into the treatment tank, and the cylindrical rotary member is rotated alternately in forward and reverse directions, whereby conveyance of the cloth is repeated between the front and rear chambers, and during such repetition of conveyance, a required treatment is applied to the cloth.

  • Patent number: 5102423
Abstract: A cloth treatment method includes the steps of dipping a cloth in a solution of a treating substance to wet the cloth therewith, squeezing the cloth to uniformly impregnate it with the substance, disposing the cloth impregnated with the treating solution between two electrode rolls parallel to each other, and applying a voltage to the two electrode rolls to pass an electric current between therebetween through the treating solution with which the cloth is impregnated, whereby heat generated due to electric resistance of the treating solution promotes fixation of the treatment substance to the fabric.

  • Patent number: 4813249
Abstract: A squeezing device includes a driving squeezing extractor and a driven squeezing extractor which comes rotationally in contact with the driving squeezing extractor to carry out a squeezing process on a fabric to be dyed by feeding of the fabric through between the two squeezing extractors, the driven squeezing extractor being composed of a hollow cylindrical rotatable member which is rotatably supported on a center shaft inserted along the axis thereof, and a plurality disc-like supporting members which are arranged inside the cylindrical rotatable member, and each of the disc-like supporting members on the ends is rotatably fitted with an inner periphery of the cylindrical rotatable member and is movable relative to the center shaft in the axial direction.
