  • Patent number: 5012843
Abstract: An adjustable knot-disalignment device for use in a loom in which weaving is effected by passing a shuttle containing a cop around which a weft yarn is wound between upper and lower warp yarns. The adjusting device includes a disk-shaped reel provided with a circumferential channel for accommodating a wound thread thereon, a thread holding device projecting outward of the circumferential channel of the reel for holding threads and a hooking device for hooking the threads held by the holding device and rotating the threads, thereby winding the threads onto the circumferential channel of the reel. By controlling the number of times the thread is wound around the disc-shaped reel, the knots which connect the threads from two different cops may be made to be disaligned in the woven fabric.

  • Patent number: 4974641
Abstract: An automatic cop replacing apparatus for a shuttle-type loom with which a cop contained in the shuttle is automatically replaced, including tying the threads together of the old and new cops, and requiring no operator intervention. The apparatus includes a hand for gripping the cop. A rotary arm plate on which the hand is mounted, a drive device for rotating the rotary arm plate and for straightly moving the rotary arm plate in the axial direction, and a drive shaft for moving the rotary arm plate to an exchange position for the cop. A thread tying device holds and ties together the treads of the old and new cops.

  • Patent number: 4938512
Abstract: A thread-tying apparatus for use in a shuttle loom. The thread tying apparatus includes a grasping claw (122), pressing lever (124), small claw (126), large claw (127), gripping claw (129) and thread tightener (125a). The grasping claws (122) grasp the threads at two locations and rotate the threads so as to form a loop therein which cross at a point. The pressing lever (124) then hooks the crossing point of the threads such that the small claw (126) can grasp the threads at a position offset from the grasping claw (122). Thereafter, the large claw (126) pushes down a portion of the thread such that gripping claw (129) can grab the portion of the thread and pull the thread through the loop which is thereafter tightened by the thread tightener (125a).

  • Patent number: 4877061
Abstract: An automatic cop replacing apparatus for a shuttle-type loom with which a cop contained in the shuttle is automatically replaced, including tying the threads together of the old and new cops, and requiring no operator intervention. The apparatus includes a hand for gripping the cop, a rotary arm plate on which the hand is mounted, a drive device for rotating the rotary arm plate and for linearly moving the rotary arm plate in the axial direction with respect, thereto and a drive shaft for moving the rotary arm plate to an exchange position for the cop. A thread tying device holds and ties together the threads of the old and new cops.

  • Patent number: 4133545
Abstract: A holder for tightly gripping the shank of an elongate cutting or like tool comprises a shank portion and a base portion with a cylindrical outer surface. The holder has a central bore for receiving the tool shank and transverse screws intersecting the bore for tightening against the tool shank. A ring encircles the cylindrical portion of the base member and under stresses caused by tightening the screws against the tool shank, the ring and base portion deform between conditions in which the ring is rotatable on the base portion and non-rotatable on the base portion. The rotatable or non-rotatable condition of the ring indicates the tightness of the screws.

  • Patent number: 4060390
Abstract: An apparatus for producing well-fermented compost by achieving an aerobic fermentation of organic wastes, excretion, etc. The apparatus comprises a fermentation vessel of a rectangular configuration, a device for feeding slurry-like organic wastes within the base compost which has been piled in the vessel and for stirring the base compost and the slurry-like organic wastes, and a device for gathering an upper portion of the predetermined thickness of the fermented compost and for carrying the gathered compost out of the vessel. These devices are movably positioned on the top of the vessel.

  • Patent number: 3947256
Abstract: A method for treating high polymer wastes in such a way that pollution of the atmosphere will be avoided. Solid high polymer bodies are subjected to simultaneous compression and shearing action until they reach a state of fusion and decompose at least in part into a fluid state. The fluid is then directed to a location where it is available as a fuel. A rotary feed screw is situated in a cylinder to coact therewith for providing compression and shearing of high polymer bodies until they reach a state of fusion. Then the fused material is subjected to a decomposing action in order to decompose into a fluid condition, and the resulting fluid is conveyed to a location where the fluid is available for further use.
