  • Patent number: 6439486
Abstract: In a method for disposing of waste matter such as waste tire pieces by using first and second shredding members each having shredding blades, the waste matter is introduced into a space between the shredding blades of the first and second shredding members and shredded or torn off into fine chips by operating the first and second shredding members, while partially caught by grooves formed in opposite faces of the shredding blades of the respective shredding members. By moving the first and second shredding members relative to each other in opposite directions to impart a shearing force to the waste matter in the space between the shredding blades, the waste matter is effectively torn off into pieces. When a waste tire is processed in an apparatus for practicing the method, it is successfully separated into rubber parts and wires with high efficiency.

  • Patent number: 5970772
Abstract: A positioning control device having a moving body engaged with a screw shaft to be moved with the rotation of the screw shaft, and a rest bar for fixing the moving body having two long positioning retainers extending in the axial direction of the screw shaft makes it possible to securely hold a guide apparatus for rolling stock. The moving body is provided on its upper portion with a shift base for mounting the guide apparatus thereon, and on its lower portion with a shift bracket. A pair of hydraulic cylinders piercing through the shift bracket are opposed to each other across the screw shaft. A piston rod in each hydraulic cylinder is movable vertically so as to come into contact with the lower surface of the retaining portion of the rest bar. Both positioning retainers are secured on the retaining portion of the rest bar and disposed opposite to each other across the piston rods and the retaining portion of the rest bar so as to come into contact with the contact members of the shift base.

  • Patent number: 5404740
Abstract: A high-rigid type guiding device for guiding a steel material to be rolled comprises guide rollers toughened by satisfying the condition in which rigidity (K) at contact portions with the steel material is defined by:K=Fmax/Smaxwherein, Fmax represents the maximum load exerted on the guide rollers (Fmax=m.times.FT, 1.0.ltoreq.m.ltoreq.2.0), and Smax represents the maximum allowable value within a range in which increment S of a roller gap defined between the contact portions is determined (Smax=n.times..delta.1, 0.2.ltoreq.n.ltoreq.0.8). Consequently, the efficiency of rolling and the productivity of the rolled steel products can be improved, and the yielding efficiency and quality of the products can be heightened.
