    Abstract: An organic hydride production device comprises an electrolyzer and a water removal device. The electrolyzer has a cathode chamber. The water removal device has a container that stores a catholyte fed from the cathode chamber, a drain pipe that discharges dragged water from the container, a detector that detects that the dragged water has been accumulated in the container, and a switcher that is provided in the drain pipe, is capable of switching between a regulation state in which drainage from the drain pipe is regulated and an execution state in which the drainage is executed, and switches from the regulation state to the execution state based on a detection result of the detector.

    Abstract: An object to be achieved by the present invention is to provide a pigment which is comfortable and smooth to the touch in a coating, spreads well on the skin, for example, when used in a cosmetic material such as a foundation or an eye shadow, and exhibits good color development and gloss. A pigment of the present invention is a coated pigment formed by coating a surface of a flaky base material made of at least one metal or metal oxide with a colorant. The surface of the flaky base material has a coarse particle area fraction of 9% or less. Further, it is preferable that the flaky base material be at least one or more selected from the group consisting of mica, aluminum, alumina, and glass.

    Abstract: An electrostatic copying apparatus includes a paper jam detector for producing a jamming signal in response to detection of a paper jam, an emergency stopping device for stopping the copying process in response to the paper jamming signal, and a manually operable release switch for actuation after the paper jam has been cleared to release the stopping action of the emergency stopping means. A preparatory driving device, responsive to the releasing of the stopping action of the emergency stopping device by the operation of the release switch, energizes the main motor of the copying apparatus to move the photosensitive member of the apparatus through at least one rotation. A cleaning device, also responsive to releasing of the stopping action of the emergency stopping device by the operation of the release switch, cleans the photosensitive member during that rotation to assure that the photosensitive member is clean after the jam is cleared and before the next copying cycle.

    Abstract: A support mount for the rotary drum of an electrostatic copying apparatus. A pair of guide and support members is positioned within the copier housing, spaced from each other a predetermined distance in the direction of the central axis of the drum. Each guide and support member has a shaft support opening with a recess extending substantially perpendicular to the drum axis and a main guide surface extending from the lower end of the recess away from the shaft support opening and substantially perpendicular to the drum axis. When the peripheral surfaces of the drum bearing members are moved along the main guide surfaces, each bearing member passes through the respective recess and is positioned within the respective support opening. A pair of projecting pieces are positioned at the side plates of a frame of the copying apparatus developing device.
