    Abstract: A liquid crystal apparatus includes a liquid crystal panel side electrode extending from a liquid crystal panel and an external circuit side electrode extending from an external circuit and connected to the liquid crystal panel side electrode for driving the liquid crystal panel, by using conductive material. The liquid crystal panel side electrode includes a laminated film made of an indium tin oxide film having a surface and a metal film on the surface. The metal film is selected from one of a molybdenum film and an aluminum film. The liquid crystal panel side electrode has a left portion of the metal film and an indium tin oxide film opening area, at a connection area between the liquid crystal panel side electrode and the external circuit side electrode. The indium tin oxide film of the liquid crystal panel side electrode is covered with the metal film over the entire surface thereof.

    Abstract: A swash plate type compressor includes a cylinder blocks having a crank case which communicates with a suction port and a plurality of bores formed therein. The ends of each bore are covered with a pair of housings. The bores communicate with discharge chambers. A drive shaft is rotatably placed within the cylinder blocks. A swash plate is rotatable in the crank case, and is mounted on the drive shaft. A plurality of pistons are drivably coupled to the swash plate, and are reciprocotable in their respective bores. As the pistons reciprocate, a refrigerant in the crank case is sucked into each bore and is compressed therein. The compressed refrigerant is discharged into the discharge chambers from the bores. A passage for transporting the refrigerant between the discharge chambers is formed along the axis of the drive shaft. Seals are provided between the cylinder blocks and the drive shaft for sealing the gap between the discharge chambers and the crank case.

    Abstract: A swash plate type compressor is provided with a plurality of cylinders and a front and rear cylinder blocks having a crank case connected to a suction port. The cylinder blocks are connected to a front and rear housing sections in order to cover the cylinders. Each housing section contains a discharge chamber. A drive shaft is rotatable supported by the cylinder blocks. One end of the drive shaft is sealed within the front housing. A swash plate is mounted on the drive shaft and is rotatably disposed within the crank case. A plurality of two-head pistons engage the swash plate via a pair of shoes. The pistons move within their respective cylinders in cooperation with the swash plate. The refrigerant is sucked into each cylinder via a suction passage, and is then compressed therein. The refrigerant is discharged into the external refrigerating circuit through the front and rear discharge chambers, .and the front and rear discharge ports.

    Abstract: In a cathode ray tube apparatus, a deflection yoke for generating an effective magnetic field to deflect electron beams in an envelope is provided around a funnel of the envelope. A pair of front magnetic coils are in substantially symmetrical with respect to a horizontal plane including a tube axis and a horizontal direction and are provided on a skirt of the envelope. A pair of rear magnetic coils are also arranged in substantially symmetrical with respect to the horizontal plane and are provided on the deflection yoke. Leakage magnetic fluxes generated from the deflection yoke are reduced by compensating magnetic fluxes generated from the front and rear magnetic coils.

    Abstract: A contaminant proof structure for a starter for an engine, with the starter including a sliding portion between a sliding member and a support member supporting the sliding member disposed in a housing so that the sliding member can project into the outside of the housing through an opening formed in a wall of the housing. An atmospheric gas reservoir disposed in the housing between the support member and the wall of the housing around the opening, and a communication passage bypasses the sliding portion and communicates the atmospheric gas reservoir with an external atmospheric gas through a space at an opposite side of the support member to the atmospheric gas reservoir side. The sliding member is dimensioned such that a gap between the opening and the sliding member inserted in the opening is small.

    Abstract: A swash plate type compressor comprising a swash plate accommodated in a swash plate chamber. Front and rear housings are attached to the cylinder block to form suction chambers and discharge chambers, respectively. A refrigerating medium is introduced from a suction inlet to the suction chambers via the swash plate chamber and discharged from the discharge chambers. A drive shaft is fixed to the swash plate for reciprocally moving pistons. The drive shaft has a discharge passage in the form of an axial bore formed in the drive shaft for connecting the front discharge chamber to the rear discharge chamber. The discharge passage is thus isolated from the suction system.

The fourth grid electrode structure is comprised of first to third electrode segments having apertures through which electron beams pass. Passages are formed in the cylinder block body for feeding the refrigerant from the swash plate member to the suction chamber in such a manner that the refrigerant flow is guided to positively lubricate movable parts included in the cylinder block body as a component element of the compressor.
