  • Patent number: 6179607
Abstract: A two-platen mold-clamping apparatus is provided, which requires neither tie bars nor rear platen, and is thus comprised of a reduced number of components, is easy to maintain, and is low-priced. A plurality of ball nuts are mounted on a movable platen so as to be rotatable but axially immovable relative to the movable platen. The movable platen mounted for reciprocal motion relative to a stationary platen. A respective ball screw is threadedly engaged with each of the ball nuts and each balls screw has an end portion that is fixed to the stationary platen. A motor rotates the ball nuts by means of sprockets and a chain so that the ball nuts and the movable platen are moved toward the stationary platen. The ball screws are moved longitudinally relative to the movable platen so as to generate a mold-clamping force after a mold-touch state has been reached.

  • Patent number: 5334860
Abstract: An insulating substrate has thin film transistors, and scanning and data wires for supplying signals to the transistors. Each of the wires has a two-layered structure comprising a lower metal film and an upper metal film. Oxide films serving as etching stopper films and having a width smaller than each of the lower and upper metal films are interposed between the lower and upper metal films over the entire length thereof.

  • Patent number: 5153149
Abstract: An injection apparatus of an injection-molding machine is described, including a servomotor for screw rotation including a pulse coder, the motor being driven in accordance with the difference between a command output from a control section of the injection-molding machine and an output from the pulse coder, thereby rotating a screw. During injection and pressure hold processes in which the motor is rendered nonoperative, the screw rotates as molten resin flows backward, if a check valve attached to the screw does not function normally, and this situation is detected as an abnormality of the check valve by a control section.

  • Patent number: 5062784
Abstract: A molding condition recording apparatus having a manual data input device with a CRT. The manual data input device has various keys for inputting parameters of various groups used for controlling injection, hold, metering and cylinder temperature, and for inputting molding defect indication data. A microprocessor for a programmable machine controller causes the input parameters and the molding defect indication data to be stored in a molding condition storage region of a shared memory (S5). The microprocessor then discriminates similarity between the thus stored molding condition and the molding condition already registered in a molding condition/molding defect storage file of a memory other than the shared memory (S7). If there is similarity between these molding conditions, the microprocessor causes the CRT to display an alarm message thereon together with the parameter already registered in the file and the mold defect indication data (S12).

  • Patent number: 4906173
Abstract: A compressor unit of an injection-compression molding machine having a movable platen and a stationary platen. The compressor unit includes a compression pin (32) fixed to the end of a ball screw (29) threadedly engaged with a ball nut (24) which is coupled, by means of a power transmission mechanism (35), to a servomotor (19) attached to the movable platen (3). As the servomotor rotates, the compression pin moves axially together with the ball screw relative to the movable platen to project through the movable platen toward a mold clamped between the platens to cause molten resin filling the mold to be compressed.

  • Patent number: 4821876
Abstract: A magazine for light-sensitive materials comprises a tubular body and side plates covering each of both sides of the tubular body. The tubular body is formed by bending a sheet material having folded portions at both ends so as to form a slit between both ends and having such a structure that an upper part of the magazine is formed of a portion of the bent material in a region near one end and a front wall part of the magazine is formed of a portion of the bent material in a region near other end. A cured resin is provided within a space formed between the folded portion positioned at the end of the upper part and a portion of the upper part corresponding to the folded portion. Otherwise, a forehead portion having a upper edge and a lower edge is formed of the bent material in an area between the upper part and the folded portion positioned at the end of the upper part.
