Patent number: 5016913Abstract: The air bag 3 according to this invention is furnished with exhaust outlet 6 to discharge internal gas, and the material 8 with and heat-shrinking property is provided, which blocks at least a part of the exhaust outlet 6 in normal case and shrinks to such direction as to increase the passage area of said exhaust outlet when reaction gas is introduced from the inflator 2. Therefore, the passage area of the exhaust outlet 6 is relatively narrowed down by the heat-shrinking material 8 in normal case. For this reason, it is rapidly expanded by reaction gas from the inflator 2. Thereafter, the material 8 is shrinked by the heat of reaction gas and the passage area of exhaust outlet 6 is increased. Thus, more reaction gas flows out of air bag 3, and this alleviates the impact when the air bag 3 receives the person in the vehicle.Type: GrantFiled: July 12, 1990Date of Patent: May 21, 1991Assignee: Takata Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Hideo Nakajima, Toshio Takamiya

Patent number: 4823737Abstract: This invention relates to an egg transfer device capable of collecting and transferring eggs delivered from cages without breaking the eggs. Egg collecting shelves are suspended swingably on an endless strip. Eggs are received at a receiving section of the egg collecting shelves and discharged at a discharge section. The receiving section of the egg collecting shelf, the holding section, and the discharge section are all formed with fork-shaped comb-like teeth. The capability of the egg collecting shelves to swing freely causes no eggs transferred by the egg collecting shelves to be cracked or broken. Scraping-out pieces are provided to facilitate eggs to be sent onto the egg collecting stand when the egg collecting shelf has reached the discharge position. Moreover, a stopper mechanism is provided to stop the endless strip when contaminants, if brought onto the discharge section, have disabled the discharge of eggs from the egg collecting shelf.Type: GrantFiled: August 7, 1987Date of Patent: April 25, 1989Inventors: Hideo Nakajima, Minoru Yamamoto

Patent number: 4783940Abstract: A concrete filled steel tube column which includes: a steel tube connected to beams of a structure so that an axial compressive load is transferred from the beams to the steel tube; and a concrete core, disposed within the steel tube, for bearing an axial compressive load transferred from the beams via the steel tube to the concrete core. The steel tube has a plurality of prestressed tube pieces concentrically joined in series. Each of these tube pieces has an axial prestress introduced into it to counteract a stress resulting from the compressive load applied to the steel tube. With this arrangement, substantially no axial stress is induced in the steel tube. In constructing the column, a steel tube piece is erected, and beams are joined to the tube piece. An axial tensile load is applied to the tube piece so that an axial stress is induced in the tube piece. After the application of the load, concrete is charged into the tube piece.Type: GrantFiled: December 24, 1986Date of Patent: November 15, 1988Assignee: Shimizu Construction Co., Ltd.Inventors: Takanori Sato, Yasukazu Nakamura, Hideo Nakajima, Yasushi Watanabe, Yoshihiro Orito, Toru Ito, Yutaka Saito

Patent number: 4447805Abstract: In an array of coke ovens each including a plurality of combustion chambers having a plurality of flue nozzles, a measuring car equipped with a temperature measuring member runs above the array in a direction of the array or in a longitudinal direction of the combustion chambers so as to detect thermal radiations passing through the flue nozzles to measure combustion chamber temperature. The measured temperature is sent to a remote control room through antennae. Where a coal charging car of a Rahmen construction is used an antenna is also provided for the coal charging car so that even when the measuring car runs beneath the coal charging car, radio communication can be assured. The temperature of the combustion chambers can be readily and accurately measured by linearly running the measuring car whether combustion is effected in one or the other side of the combustion chambers.Type: GrantFiled: February 18, 1982Date of Patent: May 8, 1984Assignee: Mitsubishi Kasei Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Yoshihiro Omae, Noboru Okubo, Keiichi Sigyo, Hideo Nakajima, Hiroaki Fukui, Toshio Yamada, Hideyuki Honda
