  • Patent number: 5851682
Abstract: A polyolefin resin composition containing (a) 100 wt. parts of a polyolefin resin, (b) 0.03 to 60 wt. parts of an inorganic compound of the formula: ?Li+Al.sup.3 +.sub.2 (OH-).sub.6 !.A.sup.n-.sub.1/n.mH.sub.2 O (I) in which A.sup.n- represents a n-valent anion, n is an integer of 1 to 4, and m is a number satisfying 0.ltoreq.m.ltoreq.3 and (c) 0.02 to 5 wt. parts of a hindered amine compound, and a resin film made of a polyolefin resin composition containing (a) 100 wt. parts of a polyolefin resin, (b) 0.03 to 25 wt. parts of an inorganic compound of the above formula (I) and (c) 0.02 to 5 wt. parts of a hindered amine compound are disclosed. The resin composition and resin film are excellent in weather resistance.

  • Patent number: 5256473
Abstract: Disclosed is an infrared absorbing film comprising a synthetic resin and silicon oxide, wherein the silicon oxide is used in an amount of about 2 to about 25% by weight based on the synthetic resin, and wherein the silicon oxide is produced by underwater grinding, has an average particle size of not more than 4 .mu.m, is substantially free of particles exceeding 20 .mu.m in average particle size, and has a specific surface area of not more than 20 m.sup.2 /g.The film may further comprise a transparent resin layer formed over at least one surface thereof.

  • Patent number: 5110860
Abstract: The invention provides an agricultural film of a polyolefin composition from 0.02 to 0.5 part by weight of an .omega.-hydroperfluoroalkyl group-containing fluorine compound surfactant and from 0.5 to 5 parts by weight of a nonionic dripping agent per 100 parts by weight of a polyolefin resin. The agricultural film can prevent fog generation in houses, tunnels or the like in horticulture use facilities.

  • Patent number: 4920692
Abstract: A mulching film which comprises a reflective film layer having a reflective peak at a wavelength of less than 0.4 .mu.m and a reflective spectrum having not less than 1.4 of a ratio (R.sub.A /R.sub.B) of the ultraviolet peak reflectance (R.sub.A) and the visible light reflectance at a wavelength of 0.5 .mu.m (R.sub.B) and a black film layer, which is effective for repelling insect pests harmful for various crops and other plants by covering ground for plantation and for lowering of the underground temperature and also for the prevention of the propagation of weeds.

  • Patent number: 4826729
Abstract: An insect pest-repelling film or sheet is disclosed, having a reflective spectrum in a ultraviolet region of a wavelength of less than 0.4 .mu.m, particularly a reflective spectrum peak at a wavelength of less than 0.4 .mu.m, a reflective spectrum having not less than 1.4 of a ratio (R.sub.A /R.sub.B) of the ultraviolet reflectance (R.sub.A) and a visible light reflectance of a wavelength of 0.5 .mu.m (R.sub.B) and a visible light transmission of not less than 40%. The film is useful as a cover of houses and tunnels or mulching of ground for crop culture or as a repellent for various insect pests in agriculture, forestry, and gardening.
