  • Patent number: 5555802
Abstract: In order to make the bulging out deformation of the printing drum of a rotary stencil printer having a flexible cylindrical body by the internal press roller to be more easy and more uniform over the entire width of the printing, a flexible perforated sheet (20) forming the flexible cylindrical body of the printing drum is beforehand constructed to be a cylindrical body with its opposite annular edge portions being laid over a pair of annular portions (10a, 10b) connected with one another by a transverse bar portion (12), wherein the internal circumferential length of the cylindrical body made of the flexible perforated sheet is larger than the outer circumferential length of the annular portions by a determinate amount for allowing a part of the flexible cylindrical body to bulge radially outwardly, and the flexible cylindrical body is latched at a portion thereof laid one over the other with the transverse bar portion against relative circumferential movement while relatively movable in the radial direction

  • Patent number: 5343103
Abstract: Power supplying unit to be used for supplying power to such a load as the motor for driving a submerged pump that scoops liquid out of a tank storing low temperature liquid like LNG and so forth. The power supplying unit has a ceramic sleeve fixed to the flange, a penetrating conductor inserted into this ceramic sleeve, and the ceramic sleeve and the penetrating conductor are coupled air-tightly to each other inside the flange (inside the tank) sealed outside the flange with a bellows of semi-mountain construction in cross section. The bellows has an elasticity and is mounted, when the ceramic sleeve and the penetrating conductor are linearly expanded at the maximum temperature during practical or normal use, or at the temperature slightly higher than the said level. The bellows is mounted between the ceramic sleeve and the penetrating conductor in a state where it is displaced to its maximum length due to its self elasticity.

  • Patent number: 5022642
Abstract: A sheet feeding device is provided for taking up and feeding a plurality of sheets one by one by a selectively driven sheet feeding roller from the stack thereof positioned on a sheet feeding base to a register roller and for transporting the sheet to an image developing and processing device at a predetermined timing by the register roller; the feeding device comprising a movable sheet guide member provided between the feeding roller and the register roller which is adapted to be displaced by the curving deformation of a sheet between the feeding roller and the register roller in the direction of the growing of the curving deformation. The feeding device may further comprise a detector for sensing the displacement of the sheet guide member to determine based upon the displacement that a predetermined curvature of a sheet has been reached, and a control for stopping the rotation of the feeding roller in response to the detection by the detector so as to prevent the sheet from deforming excessively.

  • Patent number: 4966073
Abstract: A rotary mimeographic printing apparatus comprises a rotary drum for mounting on a peripheral surface thereof a perforated stencil, a clamp pivotally supported on the rotary drum for clamping one end of the stencil in such a manner that the stencil may be wound around the peripheral surface of the rotary drum in response to rotation of the rotary drum, structure for removing the stencil from the rotary drum after printing is finished, and a stencil guide disposed above the rotary drum and engageable with the clamp so as to move following the pivotal movement of the clamp.

  • Patent number: 4685590
Abstract: An article dispensing mechanism for a vending machine including at least one serpentine track connected with an article loading space and an article dispensing space. The serpentine track is provided with a horizontal length adjusting device. This adjusting device comprises a spacer vertically extending within the serpentine track for defining the horizontal length of track, a movable plate connected with an upper portion of the spacer in a manner permitting sliding motion of the movable plate parallel to side plates of the machine and a guide plate extending across the loading space and engaging the movable plate. The spacer is horizontally and longitudinally slidable, following the movement of the guide plate. The position of the movable plate and the spacer defines the horizontal length of the loading space and the serpentine track.

  • Patent number: 4632257
Abstract: An article dispensing mechanism for a vending machine includes at least one serpentine track comprised of a pair of facing cusp-shaped vertical panels. These panels are supported on a pair of facing side plates. Each panel has a plurality of projections which extend horizontally from opposite side surfaces of the panel and extend into rectangular-shaped holes formed in both side plates. Each vertical panel is securely fixed on both plates by twisting the outer terminal portion of the projections which extend outwardly from the rectangular-shaped holes.

  • Patent number: 4565471
Abstract: A drill bit comprises a body having a shank portion and an end face at its forward end. The drill bit body has at the forward end a cutting means having at least one cutting edge provided on the end face. The cutting edge is spaced from the axis of rotation of the body. The body has a rake surface which terminates in the cutting edge and extends along the axis of rotation.

  • Patent number: 4561564
Abstract: An article dispensing mechanism for a vending machine includes at least one serpentine track comprising a pair of facing serially cusp-shaped vertical panels. These panels are attached to side plates of the machine and connected to one another by biasing springs in such a manner as to provide yielding horizontal mobility between opposed panels. This horizontal movement of the vertical panels absorbs the usual article impact which occurs during article loading and dispensing. Also, the article discharge control device is mounted to be vertically movable and biased upwardly to absorb impact shocks from the articles incident article dispensing.
