  • Patent number: 8762034
Abstract: There are provided calculating a differential pressure deposition amount of PM deposited in a DPF based on an exhaust gas flow rate and a differential pressure of the DPF, calculating a model deposition amount of the PM using a model in which a PM amount burned in the DPF is subtracted from the PM amount, calculating a time change rate of the differential pressure deposition amount, and setting a first coefficient to be larger than a second coefficient when the exhaust gas flow rate exceeds a predetermined value and setting the first coefficient to be small when the exhaust gas flow rate exceeds the predetermined value and the time change rate is a predetermined threshold or more when multiplying the differential pressure deposition amount and the model deposition amount by the first and second coefficients, respectively, and calculating an addition value of the respective multiplied values as the PM deposition amount.

  • Patent number: 8609342
Abstract: The invention provides a reporter gene assay method by which the sex hormone-like activity inherent in a test substance can be accurately assayed excluding the effects caused by a decrease in cell activity (protein expressing capacity). The assay method is a reporter gene assay method using luciferase-expressing cells which comprises further transferring a GFP gene into the luciferase-expressing cells, measuring the luciferase expression level and GFP expression level, and making a judgment about the thus-measured luciferase expression level using the decrease in GFP expression level as an indication of the decrease in cell activity.

  • Patent number: 7086226
Abstract: In order to provide a construction machine by which energy regeneration can be performed reliably and battery and electrical power generator can be miniaturized, a construction machine has an engine, a hydraulic pump driven by the engine, and an actuator driven by discharge oil from the hydraulic pump, and a regenerative motor which rotates by return oil from the actuator is connected to the rotation shaft of the hydraulic pump. The hydraulic pump is driven by the engine and the regenerative motor when drive torque necessary in the hydraulic pump is larger than output torque generated by operation of the regenerative motor.

  • Patent number: 4889080
Abstract: A cylinder head for an internal combustion engine includes a plurality of cooling water passages through which cooling water for cooling the cylinder head is injected. Each of the cooling water passages is so arranged that cooling water injected therethrough is caused to unidirectionally swirl around an outer wall for a fitting hole through which a fuel injection nozzle is fitted. Thus, there is no fear that stagnation of water stream due to collision of water streams flowing around the outer wall for the fuel injection fitting hole occurs or bubbles are produced. This leads to reduction of resistance against flowing of cooling water whereby a cooling efficiency of cooling water for the cylinder head can be increased.
