  • Patent number: 10697673
Abstract: A liquid receiver of a condenser has a liquid receiver main body and a plug removably fitted thereinto. The liquid receiver main body has a refrigerant inflow hole into which refrigerant flows from a condensation section and a refrigerant outflow hole from which refrigerant flows into a supercooling section. The liquid receiver has a first space formed above the upper end of the plug and communicating with the refrigerant inflow hole and a second space formed below the upper end of the plug and communicating with the refrigerant outflow hole. The plug has a flow passage which is open to the first space and the second space at opposite ends. The first-space-side opening of the flow passage is located below the refrigerant inflow hole. The flow passage has a throttle portion whose cross-sectional area is smaller than a hole area of the refrigerant inflow hole.

  • Patent number: 7784530
Abstract: In manufacture of a heat exchanger, heat exchange tubes, fins, and header section bodies are arrange in an assembled condition. Projection pieces provided on caps of header sections are fitted into corresponding slits formed in side plates, thereby engaging end portions of the side plates with the caps. In this condition, the caps are arranged in such a manner as to bridge end portions of the header section bodies, and the side plates are arranged on the outer sides of the leftmost and rightmost fins. The heat exchange tubes and the fins, the heat exchange tubes and the header section bodies, the header section bodies and the caps, the side plates and the caps, and the side plates and the fins are respectively brazed together simultaneously. This method enables the side plates to be accurately arranged at respectively predetermined positions.

  • Publication number: 20070144715
Abstract: A second fin 27 is disposed outside a refrigerant passing body 2 positioned at one side end of a heat exchange core 4 where a refrigerant inlet 14 and a refrigerant outlet 15 are provided. A side plate 26 is disposed externally of the second fin 27. The second fin 27 and the side plate 26 have respective upper ends so positioned as to permit an upper portion outer surface of the refrigerant passing body 2 to be exposed. A refrigerant inflow member 16 and a refrigerant outflow member 17 are arranged on the refrigerant passing body 2 at an external portion thereof above the second fin 27 and the side plate 26, and the inflow member 16 is connected to the inlet 14, and the outflow member 17 is connected to the outlet 15. The inflow member 16 and the outflow member 17 have respective outer side faces positioned within an upward extension of the plane of outer side face of the side plate 26 or inwardly of the extension.

  • Publication number: 20070051504
Abstract: A heat exchanger used as an evaporator includes a refrigerant inlet header section and a refrigerant outlet header section. The refrigerant inlet and outlet header sections each include a header section body having opened opposite ends and two caps closing opposite end openings of the header section body. The header section body of the refrigerant inlet header section and the header section body of the refrigerant outlet header section are integral with each other. The caps are fitted into the corresponding opposite end openings of the header section bodies. Projections formed at peripheral portions of the caps are fitted into corresponding mating holes formed in tubular walls of the header section bodies. In this condition, the caps are joined to the header section bodies. This heat exchanger allows relatively easy practice of the work of preventing detachment of caps in manufacture thereof.
