  • Patent number: 6880399
Abstract: A vibrator is received within a case and the case is contained in a containing portion. Further, the case is arranged to be supported by the surrounding terminals having first ends thereof embedded in the containing portion. By virtue of the described configuration, the vibrator is securely retained by the case even if strong vibrations are applied to the terminals. With this configuration, an angular velocity sensor ensuring the strength to retain the vibrator even if the vibrator is reduced in size and causing no degradation of the output characteristic even when subjected to strong vibrations can be provided.

  • Publication number: 20040209730
Abstract: A transmission-roller supporting mechanism on a transmission apparatus of a wedge roller type is provided with: an input roller; an output ring; three transmission rollers in an unequally-spaced space generated between the input roller and the output ring; and a support roller. At least one of the three transmission rollers is not fixed in position and is regarded as a movable roller supported by the support roller with its position fixed or movable. The rollers become out of contact with each other by moving the position of the support roller. The transmission of torque is cut off by moving the movable roller by the support roller. Alternatively, two transmission rollers are supported by the support roller. The two movable rollers select and play the roles of a fixed roller and a wedge roller, which causes the transmission of two-way torque.

  • Publication number: 20040121881
Abstract: A rolling friction transmission apparatus of a wedge roller type is provided with: a rolling-surface-shaft; a ring; and three transmission rollers in an unequally-spaced space generated between the rolling-surface-shaft and the ring. The two of the three transmission rollers are fixed, and the rest is used as a wedge roller supported with its axis rotatable. The wedge roller is placed at a spatial position where the unequally-spaced space is wider than in the middle of the spatial position where the unequally-spaced space is at the widest and the spatial position where the unequally-spaced space is the narrowest. Friction forces generated by torque on the contact surfaces among the rolling-surface-shaft, the ring, and the transmission rollers cause large normal forces on the contact surfaces.

  • Patent number: 6482121
Abstract: A drive arrangement clamps an output disc such as a tire with two driving rollers so as to drive the output disc. The drive arrangement is compact, light-weight, low-noise and inexpensive, and can be used for a bicycle equipped with an electrical assist drive or various kinds of welfare-specific vehicles. The drive apparatus includes an input shaft and two output shafts extending in a single plane in parallel to each other. The input shaft has an input roller, and each of the output shafts has an output roller. A loading roller is located between the input roller and one of the output rollers, and an axis of the loading roller is slightly spaced from the plane of the two output shafts. An outer peripheral surface of each roller is a substantially cylindrical rolling surface. The loading roller is preloaded by a preload spring such that it squeezes between the input roller and one of the output rollers.

  • Patent number: 4718294
Abstract: A spool valve for changing transmission ratio for a toroidal type infinitely variable transmission is composed of, a valve housing tightly attached to a fixed member and leaving internal fluid passages, a spool is disposed in the housing and is slidable in an axial direction so as to confront with the various fluid passages to control the supply of pressurized fluid, and a cam follower made as a discrete member from the spool is disposed between the spool and a cam face to reduce the amount of displacement of the spool. The relative position of the spool with respect to the fluid passages is changed by a transmission ratio setting means to prevent the valve housing itself from displacing during the transmission ratio controlling operation.
